I hope this is the first of many Venture Bros movies. It picks right up from where the shows ended. Thank you. So glad to get some closure, lol. This was one of the best shows on TV and so underrated, so well written and the how they tied every little detail together is impressive. Anyway, this movie was great! I only wish it was a little longer after waiting all this time since they finalized the cancellation of the series. But it was worth it. Amazing voice work, as always from the cast. I just happened to be online and I think I bought it on Amazon Prime video as soon as it came out. More than happy to send some money towards the creators, hopefully it makes bank and they keep making more of these.
If you're a fan of Justice League, don't bother, unless you also like, or even follow RWBY. It's basically like RWBY bribed DC to get their name thrown in with Justice League so they can get some attention or maybe new fans. But if you don't like RWBY or even know what it is just skip this. It's about 90% RWBY and about 10% justice league, and not even a good version of them. They are teenagers, with lame powers, obviously nerfed so they wouldn't outshine the Yu-Gi-Oh! Rip off anime characters that are called RWBY. Which even the name is lame. It's the first initials of 4 of the characters, Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang. How clever... sigh. I got about 2/3rds of the way through and had completely lost interest. It was like watching someone else play a final fantasy game while you sit there. I'm waiting for Ash Ketchum to get his VS justice league movie.
I hate when directors and producers think they can improve a timeless classic as if they think they are smarter or more skilled than the original artist. This version of around the world in 80 days is nothing at all like the book. The characters aren't even close to how they should be. Phileas Fogg is a cool headed, brave, capable and determined main character, but in this show he is an insecure, emotional, hot headed incompetent. The visual effects for the show give it some credit, great scenery and well filmed. The changes they made to the original story just ruin it though. I had high hopes and it originally looked great, but the first episode alone was enough to change my mind. It would probably be a decent show if I never read the book. Which I assume is the case for most of the people that give this 10 stars.
