The cover suggests a horror or thriller, but instead, WOW, it was an awesome, quite deep, philosophical and sweet movie. Roland wanted to share his 'gift' with his friends and boy did he! Hats off to the quiet intensity of Lance playing Roland, who just wanted to impart a very rare and profound gift to those he loved.
Some of the lines he spoke in the movie, along with the beautiful scenery and music that accompanied it...will leave you feeling strangely serene and peaceful by the end of it.
Give it a chance. The story is a bit weak, not really explaining and resolving everything, but all in all, it's a must-see for lovers of deeper, profound type movies.
Also recommended: What Dreams May Come, The 5 People You Meet in Heaven, What the Bleep Do We Know, Waking Life.

I LOVED this movie. Go try to buy it on ebay,it goes for no less than $70-80 dollars! Disney NEEDS to re-release this movie on VHS and DVD WITH extras.
A great spooky Mystery for kids and teens. Has a wonderful feel to it. Why Disney doesn't make more like this, escapes me.
It's also sad that the main character(Alexander played by Steve Shaw) died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 25. (in 1990).
I'm also researching where the other actors are that played in this movie.
We should all email Disney till they re-release this again. My own kids love this movie as well!

This is one of my all-time favorite scary movies! I wish they'd make MORE just like this one! It has no blood/guts, gore or cussing yet it's an incredibly frightening movie!:)
Memorable scenes:
The wheelchair The bouncing ball The Seances The House! That Music Box! The Well The Medallion
Memorable and unforgettably chilling sounds in the movie:
That rhythmic banging! The ghosts voice The musicbox music The sound effects The sound of a ball bouncing Water running
These are among the most frightening ever filmed! (imho)
I watch this movie to this day and STILL get goosebumps! My kids also love it. Do not watch it at night in the dark, alone, I warned you!:) You will never forget this movie! Watch it only alone or with others who really like quieter, spooky haunted house type movies.
I literally wore out my VHS copy and got it on DVD. WORTH IT!
I wish they would've made a sequel. Why more movies of this exact genre aren't made, I don't know.
