I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about this movie. I almost didn't go to the screening; I don't see many movies in theaters anyway. I am so glad I went to see this movie in the theater. It's deep, impactful, and has stuck with me for days. I'm not necessarily a sci-fi or faith movie fan, and you don't need to be to enjoy this movie. Its faith element is very subtle. I plan to see the movie again on opening weekend in theaters with a couple of friends. The woman who plays the lead in the movie was absolutely breathtaking. If you want to see a real, heartfelt, well-made film this year, don't miss this one.
We love this this story. What a lovely film it makes. The music lifted my soul as it always does. Michael McLean is truly a master storyteller. If you love The Forgotten Carols... you already know that you must watch this film. If you're new to The Forgotten Carols... this is a must see movie this Christmas season.
"Highway to Dhampus" is an inspiring film. "Highway to Dhampus" is a beautifully shot film that truly belongs on the big screen. The cinematography is breath-taking, and it makes you feel as if you are in Nepal watching this story unfold before your very eyes. All of the powerful cast members gave noteworthy spectacular performances, but Nepal itself stole the show with a breathtaking performance. A powerful performance made even more moving with the resent devastation cause by the Nepal earthquakes. This film takes you on a journey of a beautiful country that all should experience. A beautifully written, directed, and shot film crafted together by Rick McFarland.
