Love Again (2023)
Wonderful Netflix Rom Com <3
Netflix has a fun line up of movies and series to date. So far they've kept me paying! I love both the leads in this and the supporting cast is nice too! It's about love, loss and starting over. I enjoyed it! I'd like to see Sam in a LOT more! (hubba hubba) The overall formula was a little predictable but guys... it's a ROM COM on Netflix...not The Titanic! I wanted a little more angst and drama with a twist, however, this was a pleasant experience and I believe it was absolutely worth my time tonight. It was nice seeing and hearing Celine Dion too! I've watched everything these two leads have done and it's a lovely addiction.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Cried, Laughed, Edge of my seat the whole way!
This was the most amazing movie sequel I've ever seen. I'm a kid from the 80's and TOP GUN was one of those movies that defined our generation's energy. Tom Cruise is fantastic in everything he does but this is his finest work. Go see it ASAP if you haven't!
The Responder (2022)
LOVE this Police Drama!
I consider myself a crime drama aficionado ;) and this one makes the cut! This one feels real. The acting and direction are superb. You truly feel a part of this world and you can't help but want Chris to win.
I 'did' have to put closed captions on because the Liverpool accents and fast talking warranted lol but It added to the authenticity of the work from all actors.. (I did get used to it though!)
Bosch: Legacy (2022)
LOVE this new Bosch!
I'm so happy they did a spin off! I'm as enthralled with this one as much as I was in Series 1 of the original show. THANK you all for keeping this story going! The cast is fabulous and the episodes just keeps getting better.
The Christmas Contest (2021)
Give me the Candice from Yesteryear...
I'm a Hallmark Christmas fan. I know they're a little cheesy but I adore them! I love Candice's movies and have always felt they were rich in human spirit as well as Christmas! I could tell right away this wasn't going to be one of them. I'm disappointed and stopped watching a third the way through. :(
I hope next year she has a better one to share with us all!
The Nevers (2021)
Steampunk, Victorian Magic! Yes, Please!
I loved it. I will say firstly I'm a period piece fan and very much appreciate female leads as a focal point. It's for grown ups that enjoy fantasy! I'm here for it and look forward to see where they take it!
I Care a Lot (2020)
Capitalism and Greed - Grossly Underrated!
This is an ode to greedy capitalism (1%) and what those that belong DO along the way to building wealth. I disagree with the 1 stars and I don't think people are getting the writer's viewpoint. Think sociopaths and the humans they don't give a S about as they climb to put billions in their bank accounts. This isn't a Disney flick folks.
Beecham House (2019)
Enjoyed it a Great Deal!
I loved the show and would love to see a second season. I would like seeing what happens to a few of these other characters!
I read a few reviews that stated it was "predictable" and "cliche". If they saw Pride & Prejudice I can assure you the same would be said. Watch it for yourself. We all need a hero we can love and gorgeous cinematography to enjoy. Thank you for a beautiful show. <3
Aseudal Yeondaegi (2019)
An Epic Fantasy that Sucks You In
If you enjoy the fantasy genre, (D&D, LOtR) you'll experience a fascinating look into this Korean drama's world about an early civilization with differing tribes and races that exist.
There are several sub-themes that enter-twine magic, religion and love that offers the stage for fantastic acting from the series leads.
I highly recommend the series! Subtitles help you read faster too! ;)
Liu xing hua yuan (2018)
Great Remake & Fun Journey!
This story was originally done in 2001 based off a Japanese Manga. I loved watching this and the version of the 2009 hit, 'Boys over Flowers'. The casting is fantastic in both! I adore the 'manga' like reactions and the storyline is very drama / romance with hilarity thrown into the mix. I can't get enough. It's a perfect Netflix add but I need MORE!
Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert (2018)
Best Live Musical Yet!
Each character brought so much to this amazing musical. Costumes, musicians, choreography, direction. Beautiful and moving.
