In 1719 in the Great Plains, Naru (Amber Midthunder) , a young Comanche woman trained as a healer, dreams of becoming a great hunter like her brother Taabe (Dakota Beaveers). Naru is really a fierce and highly skilled warrior, raised in the shadow of legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains. Naru knows she is capable of doing the same as the rest of the hunters, although she is undervalued by her hunting companions. She does not hesitate to protect her community from the dangers that threaten the settlement of the Indian tribe. Naru is equipped with the most primitive weapons to pursue and confront the prey, which turns out to be a super-developed alien predator with a high-tech arsenal. She battles a malicious and ominious extraterrestrial force with fateful consequences. Along the way, Comanches and Mountain Men are hunted by the relentless alíen race, here called Predator. As they encounter an alíen force that begins to attack one by one . As an extraterrestrial dispatches human beings causing wreak havoc, slaughter and massacre. The Hunt Begins !
¨Prey¨ is a new action thriller and part of the "Predator" saga, following in the wake of original 1987 ¨John McTiernan's Predator¨, but this time set in the world of the Comanches of the 18th century. The plot is plain and simple, as a young warrior has to confront nearly invisible alien , even over an eight-foot-tall wielding an armoury of sophisticated weapons tear apart. The result is throughly violent but undenieably thrilling action movie with a decent but unknown cast. Dealing with the untold story of Naru: Amber Midthunder, she perfectly plays the role of a young warrior, brave, and skilled who has grown up among the greatest hunters who lived on the Plains. There are a number of impressive fights, excellently choreographed and displaying a great deal of gore, limbs, gore and blood. The fights between the predator equipped with a high-tech arsenal against his simple opponents, Indians with their arrows and Mountain Men with old rifles, are fierce and terrifying.
The motion picture was notably directed by Dan Trachtenberg. He's an American filmmaker and podcast host. Trachtenberg was one of three hosts of The Totally Rad Show podcast and was a former co-host of the Geekdrome podcast. Trachtenberg is also the director of the 2011 short film Portal: No Escape, an episode of Black Mirror entitled "Playtest" and the director of various television commercials and public service announcements. He directed the series premiere episode of The Boys, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in July 2019. In 2021, he directed the premiere episode of the Peacock series The Lost Symbol where he also served as an executive producer. He has upcoming projects lined-up including a TV series adaptation of Waterworld. And directing the successful ¨1o Cloverfield Lane¨ (2106) and this fifth ¨Predator¨ film. Rating : 7/10 . Better than average action movie.
The series is made up of: The first and best, ¨Predator¨, by John McTiernan headed by the great Arnold Swarzanegger supported by an acceptable secondary cast such as Carl Weathers , Jesse Ventura , Bill Duke , Sonny Landham, Elpidia Carrillo and R. G. Armstrong. It had got several sequels , remakes and spin-offs , such as : ¨Predator 2¨(1990) in which the alien has inexplicably returned to L. A , being directed by Stephen Hopkins with Danny Glover , Bill Paxton , Ruben Blades , Maria Conchita Alonso and Gary Busey . Furthermore, ¨Alien vs. Predator¨ (2004) by Paul Anderson with Sanaa Lathan , Raoul Bova , Lance Henriksen , Colin Salmon , Tommy Flannagan and ¨Aliens vs. Predator 2¨ (2007) by Strause Brothers with Steven Pasquale , Reiko Aylesworth , John Ortiz , Johnny Lewis and Robert Joy . ¨Predators¨ (2010) by Nimrod Atal with Adrien Brody , Olek Taktarov , Alice Braga , Ali, Danny Trejo. Furthermore , Aliens vs Predators (2004) by Paul Anderson with Sanaa Lathan, Raoul Bova, Tommy Flannagan , Colin Salmón and ¨Aliens vs. Predator 2¨ (2007) by Strause Brothers with Steven Pasquale , Reiko Aylesworth , John Ortiz , Johnny Lewis and Robert Joy . And a new reboot ¨The Predator¨ (2018) by Shane Black with Yvonne Strahovski , Olivia Munn , Thomas Jane, Lochlyn Munro.

The success of ¨El día de los enamorados: Valentine's Day¨ in 1959, gives rise 3 years later to the same team to carry out a sequel, where on another February 14th San Valentin returns to Madrid to fix the absurd problems of four other couples. As there are still a lot of problems in the relationships of the Spanish couples when Saint Valentine returns to earth and especially to Madrid in order to fix these problems by walking on the Gran Via . The four episodes are: 1-: The agreeable marriage, formed by the excessively busy Mercedes (Amparo Soler Leal) and Fernando (José Luís López Vázquez), stays locked up one day in their house and they manage to get to know each other better. 2-: On the day of her wedding, Julia Ruíz (Tere del Rio) discovers that her presumed love is a womanizer. The famous photographer Mauricio (Cassen) portrays women to earn money. 3-: The maid Felisa (Gracita Morales) is somewhat marginalized by the marriage (José Maria Caffarel, Mari Carmen Prendes) she works with, but the situation changes when she wins three million in the pools, and suddenly her boyfriend Antonio (Manolo Gómez Bur) and parents (Rafael Aparicio, Adrián Ortega) arrive from the village to the capital. The dreamer Leonor (María Quadra) falls in love with an insurance salesman Manuel (Angel Del Pozo) , whose romance has been instigated by San Valentin himself.
Entertaining, light choral romantic comedy without too many pretensions. Stars a group of couples and their troubles , but in their young minds, one idea surpasses all: to be happy searching and finding true love. Too much similar than the previous installment, it retains excessive tenderness, but has lost much of its grace and sympathy due to the similarity with the previous situations, although it continues to be well shot by director Fernando Palacios on the streets of Madrid with a large group of good main and supporting actors. It has very local aspects of the old Spanish society , concerning the necessity to marry, a traditional way of living , religious moral, sexual repression , among others . It is an acceptable Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some fun and hilarious moments .This hilarious as well as passable romantic comedy is full of humor , absurd scenes , and narrating the traditional Spanish society in which ruled a dictatorship with modernity. It is a simple , and humorous portrait of a time when the Spanish people live in the late Fifties , including the consuming society and a very slight opening to freer and more permissive societies . There are several topics in this film , though many of them we can find in current societies with certain parallelism in a traditional way of life .
The picture is agile and friendly, highlighting the bond between José Luís López Vázquez and Amparo Soler Leal with some funny situations. It stars the ever brilliant and elegant Jorge Rigaud as Saint Valentin who is usually hit -but comes out unscathed- by a car driven by a taxi driver, José Orjas. Sadly, in real life, Rigaud was run over by a car, dying from the accident, in a sad old age sunk in loneliness and poverty. Situations of comedy and brief drama are alternated with a magnificent main and secondary cast, as the chief diversion is to guess which next character to appear here and there, such as: Cassen who steals the show playing in his usual style , Amparo Soler Leal , Manolo Gómez Bur , Teresa del Río , José Luis López Vázquez, Amelia de la Torre, Ángel del Pozo, María Quadra, Rafaela Aparicio, Jesús Guzmán, Hugo Pimentel, Alicia Hermida, Josefina Serratosa, Luis Morris, Francisco Bernal, Laly Soldevila, Mª Carmen Prendes, Adrián Ortega, Paula Martel, José Orjas, Irán Eory, María José Alfonso, José María Caffarel, Rafaela Aparicio, Erasmo Pascual, Anibal Vela, Encarna Paso and special mention for Gracita Morales.
It has a pleasant aesthetic full of light and color with stupendous photography in Technicolor and in filmscope by cameraman Alejandro Ulloa . As well as atmospheric and evocative musical score by Augusto Algueró. The motion picture was decently directed by Fernando Palacios who made various comedies and this was one of his greatest boxoffice hits and rightly so . Palacios directed a great number of films of all kinds of genres with especial penchant for comedies . Fernando was a good filmmaker who directed some acceptable comedies as El dia de enamorados, Juanito, Tres de la Cruz Roja, Vuelve San Valentin, Marisol rumbo a Rio, Operacion embajada, Buscame esa chica, La familia y uno mas and Whisky y Vodka. Rating : 6/10 . Good Spanish comedy that will appeal to Spanish film enthusiasts . Worthwhile watching .

In 1969, at the El Royale, a tourist resort that has fallen into disrepair, just like its occupants. Located near Lake Tahoe, a man buries a travel bag under the floorboards of his room. He's a Catholic priest called Daniel Flynn (Jeff Bridges), later on , at the resort shows up a singer Darlene Sweet (Cynthia Erivo), salesman Laramie Seymour Sullivan (Jon Hamm) and sarcastic Emily Summerspring (Dakota Johnson) where they meet the hotel's only employee, Miles Miller (Lewis Pullman). The receptionist receives strange visitors, and soon after a long body count follows. Some of the new guests' reasons for being there are less than innocent and some are not who they appear to be. Seven strangers each with their own secrets !. Seven secrets !. All roads lead here !.7 strangers. 7 secrets. 1 night.
This thriller with hints of black comedy is Drew Goddard's second film as a director after the successful modern horror film ¨The Cabin in the Woods¨. Drew Goddard is also the author of the script (Goddard is an expert screenwriter, in fact he was nominated for an Oscar for best script for The Martian), here he deals with a confusing plot in which several suspect characters meet at a tourist resort when numerous strange situations take place, resulting in dire consequences. An original and attractive plot in which a lot of roles each with their own personal agenda move from inside to outside the hotel, causing wreak havoc, apart from a breathtaking final with total chaos, mayhem and extreme confusion.
There is a brief study of some unknown roles whose particular characteristics we see gradually discovering, these include the priest Daniel Flynn, the soul singer Darlene Sweet, the street vendor Laramie Seymour Sullivan, the hippie Emily Summerspring, her little sister Rose, the manager Miles Miller and the enigmatic Billy Lee, all of them coincide in El Royale where there are surprising events, twists, turns and sudden outbursts of violence especially in the explosive finale.
These eccentric roles are well brought to life by a fine cast, such as veteran Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo who , of course, sings some songs, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman and Chris Hemsworth who had to lose more than 10 kilos of muscle for his character, after filming: ¨Avengers: Infinity War¨
The film highlights the brilliant photography trying to emulate the colorful atmosphere of the sixties by cameraman Seamus McGarvey. As well as the evocative and intriguing musical score by Michael Giacchino, adding many typical songs of the Nixon's time. This clever motion picture was competently written/produced/directed by . Previously , Drew worked as a production assistant in L. A. after graduation. A spec script Drew wrote based on Six Feet Under (2001) came to the attention of both Marti Noxon at Buffy, slayer (1997) and David Greenwalt at Ángel (1999). Both wanted him but because Marti found him first, Joss Whedon determined Drew would go to "Buffy". He became a staff writer for Season 7 (2002-2003), writing five episodes . Once "Buffy" was over , Drew moved over to "Angel" and became the executive story editor for Season 5 (2003-2004), writing four episodes. Drew Goddard's directorial debut was ¨The cabin in the Woods¨ , here he returns to the tradition al Hollywood gang of monsters and he performs around imaginatively with the genre while giving several cool touches. Drew also found time to contribute two stories to the "Tales of the Vampires" comic series and after producing notorious TV series as ¨The Good Place¨ , ¨Daredevil¨, ¨The Defenders¨, ¨Lost¨and films as ¨Cloverfield 10¨, ¨The Martian¨, The Cloverfield Paradox¨, and ¨Bad Times at the Royale¨ . Rating : 7/10. Better than average.
