More corn in this series than the annual Ohio corn crop.
Script was bad, acting was subpar, the story line lacked credibility for the most part.
This six episode season ran at least two episodes too for the decent material it contained.
The show had more padding than a flat-chested teen's bra in my humble opinion.
It took a considerable effort to stick it out for the last 3 episodes ....... and I am not sure it was worth the effort.
The writers seemed to know little about trains, even less about railroad operations and less again about computer programming.
The story had potential but the weak script crippled any chance of the show rising above the myriad of mediocre shows flooding the streaming services these days.

Had high hopes that the producers would have learned from their mistakes made in the first season. Sadly not.
First off both seasons run 10 episodes which one might be forgiven for thinking was a decent length for a TV series these days.
Sadly, in both seasons they only had enough quality material to fill 6 episodes and as a consequence after a great start in the first 3-4 episodes things went rapidly downhill from there and by episode 6 it was very clear that they were padding out the story, and doing it very poorly, to make up the content to get to a 10 episodes season.
The production seem spot on, but the script writers appeared to lose interest in the project by episode 4 and resorted to filling the script with every cliché in their book.
The actors were OK in the main but nothing exceptional, not sure if that was due to the talent or the script or a combination of the two.
Had this season run to 6 episodes and the writers and producers concentrated their efforts on those 6 episodes I am sure The Night Agent would have poled much better.
I gave the first few episodes a solid 6.5 leaning to wards a 7 but really had to stretch to give the season as a whole a weak 5.

First off, having read more than a few of the reviews of Mr & Mrs Smith here on IMDB, let me state from the outset that I have not rated this show based on the original movie starring Pitt and Jolie as I didn't rate that movie particularly high.
Secondly, my low score is not based on, or has anything to do with, the ethnicity of the two lead actors. I admire and support the many very fine non-white actors out there and their work.
I found this series to be poorly written and the actors in lead roles not interesting enough to sustain my interest enough to care about the characters they were playing.
The plot in fact was implausible to say the least and combined with the acting gave me little to no reason to waste any more time on this series beyond the first episode.
I have mentally filed this show under "just more rubbish that the streaming services try to pass of as entertainment". Another example of content being more important to the streaming services than quality.
Further evidence of the ongoing drive to dumb down of our society.
