This show is just plain funny. Although much older, decorated actor Milly Alcock plays Meg Adams, a 13 year old "naughty girl" and does it brilliantly. She is the foil to Tim Minchin's (Lucky Flynn) "sucker punched" humour. I can't think of a comparable duo definitely not Laurel and Hardy or Abbot and Costello), but watch the show and you will see what I mean.
The "upright" is Minchin's piano being carried around on a ute as we say in Australia (i.e. Pickup truck in the U. S. A.). My personal favourite episode is when Meg steals the piano. Not side-splittingly funny, but laconically delightful, another great Australian show, especially if you have ever been to North Queensland.

As long as you don't take it too seriously this show is OK. On the upside it is entertaining. Capt. Kirk (i.e. William Shatner) is an entertaining host, but too much reliance on "personal experiences" leaves plenty of room for doubt and skepticism. I'm in the skeptic camp.
On the credible side there are a few academics that offer a modicum of credibility, but not enough to convince me. There is a crapload of conjecture, most of it extremely questionable garbage. There are many things not physically possible, most notably time travel an parallel universes.
Still, if you don't take it too seriously, the show can be a fun watch.

Wow! How can anyone give this less than a 10? It is a samurai western (sort of love story) with a cute kid (saved from death) by a supposed sword-wielding bad-ass enemy who turns out to be the nastiest Asian in a small surreal western carnival town. Just when you think it is over, it keeps coming at you, with more (very nasty) enemies than you can shake a stick at.
I disagree with anyone who classifies this film as anything... it is totally unique. Wonderfully acted, sensational choreography, swordplay galore, and plenty of heart-rending moments that just never seem to stop.
Anyone who likes out-of-the- ordinary westerns will love this. How it flew under the radar, I will never know.
