I'll start with my positives: I loved the storyline of this movie. I loved the "magic" aspect and the helper, Carol, was great. The sets and scenery were great, too. Most of the acting was good. However (here comes the not-so-good), I haven't ever seen the lead, Lexi, before. She kind of fell flat for me. I agree with one of the other reviews about her coat. lol I didn't realize she was pregnant so that makes sense now. It just seemed a little meh for me. I think in these movies the actors play off of each other and their chemistry can make a movie and the lack of chemistry can break it and I just didn't feel there was any chemistry at all.

This was such a good movie!! I love the Christmas movies on Hallmark and Lifetime every year. Each year they have some hits and some duds and this one, for me, was definitely a hit. It was just the right amount of sentimental, has great chemistry between the characters, and a really good storyline. Sometimes their military movies are overly sappy, but this one was perfect. Again, in my opinion. Definitely recommend!!

If you watch a Lifetime or Hallmark Christmas movie and expect Oscar winning performances, your expectations are too high. I love cheesy Christmas movies. Love them. This is a cute movie! It's not slow like some can be and the stories, while they may be somewhat predictable, are cute. The supporting cast is good, in my opinion, too. I liked this movie.
