I had Mystic River vibes all over again on a cozy winter Saturday afternoon watching this. I didn't want the movie to end but based on the premise, it had to. I recently obtained MAX and found this movie by pure chance. Once I seen Clint/Malpaso I clicked watch haha. This movie is not a drawn out courtroom drama. The characters are believable and relatable minus one. I would totally watch this again. I read complaints about plot holes from time to time about movies. There's a reason for the phrase left on the cutting room floor...the sake of the pace of the movie. I think the characters were developed enough to satisfy.

Less than 2 hours runtime is perfect. Some scenes were too dark I couldn't tell what I'm watching but I suppose that was the point. Counterpoint to that there are many spectacular cinematic shot scenes. Tempo of movie is also good. Nothing dragging. I dont know any of the actors so it was refreshing to watch. My wife didnt plan on watching this but I had it in the que for awhile and one afternoon I put it on. About half way thru she sat down and was interested. I rewinded some parts and brought her up to speed. But to my surprise she dozed off the last ten minutes! Haha Anyway if you havent seen this movie yet dont read anything about it or you'll wreck it for yourself. Go watch it already!
