But this film was so bad to deserve a review. The script was awful. The music choice beyond cringe... Literally zero taste or artistic sense. They could have not done a worse job if they tried. The acting was just at the lowest acceptable level. The actors had pretty much zero charisma and had zero chemistry. All in all incredibly banal story, filled with overly emotional sex scenes that become almost boring to watch, a fairly unengaging and repetitive storyline, trying to be cool and indie but achieving rather poor results. Can't really explain the number of good reviews. Maybe just not enough good gay movies nowadays...
Very underrated film. We need more films that are "real". I loved how simple the film is and ultimately how profound in its simplicity as it describes what reality is and pretty much says how things are. This is not really about the originality of the storyline, but rather about how that story is told. It is about the authenticity of everything we see. Don't quite understand how anyone could think the acting in this film is bad as this is the only kind of acting that I would dare call "real acting". This is how real people talk and behave. The characters are multi-dimensional and very easy to relate to. Incredibly good ending too!
Even I would normally not rate commercial productions that much, I really need to say this film I exceptional. I am so glad I was able to go past the first 10 minutes. And then the second 20. If you are skeptical about films that start off similarly, thinking they are not going to be interesting, please be patient. The payout at the end is really worth it. I had one of the most violent outburst of tears I have ever had watching a film for the longest time, and I don't like many films. Don't know if it's just about me, but I really do believe it should have a similar effect on everyone.
