Strawberry Flavored Plastic (2019)
Overwritten robotic dialogue
It was at the point where one character responds to another,
"Reciprocally allow me to point out that..."
People simply don't don't talk this way. The entire film is laden with dialogue like this, it's very distracting.
Noel, the killer, claims to be a fan of post world war II era movies, so his out of place manner of speaking makes sense, but when every character speaks like this it just comes off as overwritten and as such very unnatural, it totally broke the immersion of the movie for me.
Joshua (2006)
good film if you can stand some bad acting
honestly apart from the acting from some of the cast the rest of this movie is great, the final moments are outstanding, the direction the soundtrack and the dialog are great, evan if it comes from some very bad actors, i am not surprised this movie isn't well known the budget gives a new meaning to the word shoestring, but this movie really does deserve attention, give travis betz a bigger budget and let him remake this movie it would be an instant classic honestly the story, the characters, the dialog, and especially the direct are outstanding this guy deserves a bigger budget and he deserves to be congratulated on coming up with something truly original, this is truly a great film, watch it
Surface (2005)
great show
i don't believe it sixty percent of voters voted this show as ten now how the hell is the rating a five point eight it impossible i don't get it, its totally pathetic i mean how. anyway the show is great the story is great and the characters are interesting, definitely a ten out of ten from me i think the creatures are cool they look great and i wish i had a nimrod great show great cgi hope there's a second series as a lot went unanswered in the first season and when is nimrod gonna get any bigger as the rest of the creatures are huge, again why is the rating so low when the votes were so high
10/10
Dead Man's Shoes (2004)
Best movie I've ever seen by Haggle
Easily one of the best films I've ever seen Shane Meadows and Paddy Considine team up for the second time and deliver one of the best movies of the decade, the scenery and gritty style of filming compliment each other perfectly.
The story if you haven't seen the film already is as follows, an ex marine (Richard played by Paddy Considine) returns to his home town to take revenge on a gang drug dealers who Wronged his brother on various occasions and what follows is a violent killing spree of revenge the character of Richard and his lack of sympathy for the men hes hunting down just go to show how enraged and deadly he can be Paddy Considine plays the role flawlessly and rage of the character is shown in his facial expressions, hes such a brilliant actor.
But rivalling Considine is Gary Stretch who delivers an equally brilliant role as the leader of the drug dealing gang and the first confrontation between the Considines and Stretch's character is brilliant the scene is very tense shown in both Richards facial expressions and threats and Sonny's (Stretch) sudden turn from being a confident hard man to being terrified of Richard as all his gang are. the soundtrack which is mostly folk compliments every seen especially the the scenes where Richard and his brother are walking through the country side as the scenery compliments every song.
All of the actors do very good jobs especially as meadows chose to use mainly local actors.
There is a very unexpected twist at the end which blew me away and just proves that Richard has gone insane with rage, the ending is especially brilliant and left my girlfriend in tears.
I strongly urge any one to watch this film and i believe deserves a much higher overall rating. ten out of ten from me
