What can I say, if you've never seen I Love Lucy you must be living under a rock. But more than 70 years after it premiered, it still brings tons of laughs. The amount of insight Desi Arnaz had in using film for these episodes ensured their survival over the test of time, over shows that had to rely on the less-than-pretty kinescope recordings. Not only that, but the comedy is spot on. Whether it's Lucy in one of her shenanigans or Ricky's reaction to it, or Fred walking in with some strange interpretation of what he needed to do, I Love Lucy is timeless. Imagine that 30 years from now, a TV show that is 100 years old would cause future generations to laugh is more than incredible. For any that doubt that, if it's funny 70 years later, I don't see any reason that wouldn't be the case!
After reading a lot of the negative reviews, a lot of people were going into it expecting too much, whether a 90s version of Stranger Things or an exact copy of a Fear Street book. This is neither. Sure, there are better horror movies out there, but this is actually done pretty well. It's intentionally somewhat campy with the different parts relating to different horror movies/series. To save the spoiler badge, I won't say which movies they're mimicking, but any horror movie fan would be able to figure it out.
I found the movies enjoyable. Certainly not academy award winners, but definitely not worth all these 1 and 2 star reviews people are giving them.

Reading some of the other reviews here, I felt the need to clarify. This movie IS hard to follow on first watching, as it deals with time reversal. It becomes easier when seeing it again. However, the confusing nature isn't so much from the plot itself as it is trying to wrap your head around how the characters are experiencing it. I will say that it's the kind of movie that you'll definitely want to pause if you get interrupted because there will be a good chance that you missed something. In a way, it's like a modern day Memento (also Christopher Nolan).
Overall, I enjoyed this more than Dunkirk, but not as much as Interstellar or Inception.
