Bala makes his 9 millionth movie with the Pithamagan script. His rooting for the unsung, brutal heroes from the lower stratas of the society gets exposed again. The usual cringey female comedy track slows down proceedings. The bad guys...yes bad guys deserves no mercy...they are...IMPALED, and the mayhem is Bala©.
Bala shoots most of the portions realistically but action scenes does not feel organic. Mysskin cracked some whip briefly,he leaves an impact. The Police and court proceedings look authentic, just like every other Bala feature.
Top notch cinematography, average Music-didnt pack the required punch,Action tries hard to be disturbingly violent but fails. Arun Vijay lives his role, he demolishes everything in his path and gives no ****, he deserved a hit with Vangaan.

An exhilarating E39 M5 v/s Duke 390 showdown, a screaming mass scene from veteran Seema I. V. Sasi, stunning drone shots of Thrissur nights, man of the hour Vishnu Vijay in full form ... Joju has delivered a banger despite all the flaws one can find in his debut feature. The movie just takes off when 46 minutes and 46 seconds are left before end credits roll up. The plot is obviously selected to play safe, hard-core crime and action never disappoints the box office numbers if shot well and Joju has done exactly that.
The boys who played the antagonists looks and feels menacing. The supporting caste, Bobby Kurian in particular leaves great impression. Exceptional cinematography and cuts. The much celebrated climax sequence lives up to its hype. Up there with I saw the Devil or Memoir of a Murderer.
