Airlift (2016)
Hidden truth unfolded with best performance. Deserves standing ovation
Being an Indian it's hard to accept that such a large scale evacuation in the history done by an Indians were not publicized in the past. If you are a true Indian then you will be proud of yourself being an Indian. The true story finally been revealed by medium of a film AIRLIFT. A very different genre with such a detailed researched and well performed is nothing less than a gift for REPUBLIC DAY weekend. The film is so perfect that it's really hard to tell from where the appreciation should be start. At the end of 130 minutes all you can do is to stand on your feet and give a loud applaud.
RAJA MENON: Director Raja Menon has to be thanked to bring out such a wonderful story. His sincere effort will help you to visualized the real incident that happened in the time of GULF WAR. The kind of effort he made in research and later jot down his whole research into a paper in form of a movie is appreciable. His direction will definitely make you realize what the AIRLIFT is all about and why AIRLIFT happened. Starting from the scratch to the end of movie his crystal clear visualization skill is definitely felt about. Hats off Raja.
AKSHAY KUMAR: There is no other actor who can perfectly suite this this character. Out of his comfort zone Akshay accepted the challenge and he delivered his best in the movie. His acting definitely reveals that before screen test and other pre-production works he too did detail research about the incident occurred in the past. His bold appearances, emotional involvement and dialogue delivery was better than the best. He proves at every second that why his name is KHILADI KUMAR.
NIMRAT KAUR: She was absolutely stunning to the amount of role she had to play in this movie. In past she was well appreciated for her role in the movie LUNCH BOX. Her second film in her carrier was nevertheless was far more deserving because she was no less than Akshay in this film. She deserves an applaud.
PURAB KOHLI: Though his character is a kind of supporting role but he delivered the best. For me this was his best movie in his carrier.
There are certain lacking in the film. Unnecessary songs included, climax was too short thus suspense doesn't end well. The film could have been made a little longer to provide best climax.
Finally the film deserves standing ovation in all aspects. Outstanding..
Bajirao Mastani (2015)
Bajirao Mastani: A perfect collage of individual's perfection
Lots of discussion arises when more than one movie releases on eve of special occasions which are all multi star cast, huge budget and highly expected. People start discussing about which movie should be watch first. This year also it's a same case. There is another big budget multi star cast movie released with BAJIRAO MASTANI. Finally after watching all I would say if you are truly movie maniac you cannot miss this movie at all. 1.Starting with preproduction: Sanjay Leela Bhansali already had this project in his mind around decade ago. This was fulfilled on 2015 only because he had his best team in his side whether it's writing department, production designer or casting is concern. 2. Ranveer Singh is the best choice for the Bajirao's character. The previous actors that director thought of could not might have justified this role. Ranveer's attitude, body language, dialogue delivery and expression was so perfect that it will really make you feel like as if you are actually watching the real Bajirao Ballal. 3.When we talk about Ranveer then the obvious things that comes to mind is Deepika. The real MASTI girl was perfect choice by director to highlight her as reel MASTANI. She absolutely justified herself to be warrior princess. Any one of you watching this movie I am sure that you will be really pleased with character Deepika played. 4. Priyanka Chopra had already proved her skills that how well she can adapt herself in any kind of role she's been offered. The character of Kashibai was by far her best appearances any one may have expected from her. 5.Bhansali has woven some wonderful moments together in this rare piece of art, which deserves appreciation. Every frame is beautifully presented and it works like a visual treat to the audience. 6.When Stunt design in Bollywood movies is concern its the best one man army SHAM KAUSHAL.
I would conclude by saying that when there is individual who are perfect you can expect only the perfect outcome. This results BAJIRAO MASTANI
The Martian (2015)
Adventure Beyond Expectation..
The trailer was nothing to guess out what the film reveals. Ridley Scott proves again with highly intellectual, interesting and adventurous drama. This is what the ultimate results THE MARTIAN. There are several other movies in Hollywood which is based on similar ideals of what THE MARTIANS reveals but the fact which makes it different from other movies is it's outstanding visual effects which clearly reveals the objective that the director wants to achieve. The screenplay, dialogues, editing was so close to perfection that it could be reviewed by only one word. It is MASTERPIECE. The most effective department which is rarely notice is ranked as primary importance of the film that is direction of photography. This will be for me is the first time that I was so much mesmerized by photo-graphical work. With perfect position of camera lenses the virtual world looks so real that it was very much mesmerizing. The production designer and it's crews hard work effort, dedication and visualization capability is beyond plaudit. The set designed were so realistic and truthful that it is appreciable. Every department such as Makeup Department,Production Management, Art Department, Sound Department, Special Effects, Visual Effects were outstanding. Finally the most appreciable department is Music Department . The background score sounds so ethical, truthful that the music also will bind you on your seat to feel the most outstanding extravaganza, the unpopular yet thrilling adventure of this year.

Boss (2013)
All title, no thunder!
Boss is so shamelessly hackneyed that it's perfectly safe to bring out one's inner Ed Bloom (uh, Big Fish?) and imagine/exaggerate situations that never really happen in a bid to keep oneself amused/alive.
For sometime, whenever the robust Ronit Roy walks into the frame, peers through his shiny aviators and states. I visualise a Kancha Cheena fan boy whose entry is marked by a super-creepy background score.
The Bloom technique, as it turns out, is no match for the gimmicky rehash of the Malayalam hit, Pokkiri Raja.
Director Anthony D'Souza's Boss is hell bent on assaulting the eardrums and senses with a vigorous spectacle of muscle- crunching/tossing/swirling/coiling action, a screeching soundtrack
Writers Farhad-Sajid are responsible for its 'plier-tier-shair' brand of wit. So, go ahead, take your pick between a) Johnny Lever b) Akshay's sweat instantly transforming into a *power* plant c) A rocking chair assembled from the bodies of a dozen or so burly men d) A ticking bomb planted in a buffoon's rear e) Shakti Kapoor as a plumber in a cameo f) A jogging track of enormous trucks g) A unfunny hat-tip to the proprietors of this over-the-top genre.
For the sake of synopsis, D'Souza slaps an outmoded plot in our direction -- the conscientious schoolteacher (Mithun Chakraborty), the misunderstood black sheep of a son (Akshay Kumar), the multiple flashbacks and farce, the surrogate daddy in a golden-hearted goon (dignified-as-ever Danny Denzongpa), the villain (Ronit Roy) with a kid sister (Aditi Rao Hydari in a two-piece bikini, probably a symbol for the brevity of her role), the hero with the kid brother (Shiv Pandit makes no impression), the usual drama, defiance.
In the plausibility-challenged schemes of Boss, a teen, tanned version of Hindi-speaking Akshay Kumar hurling a volley of coconuts on Sudesh Berry's unsuspecting skull grows up to be full-grown, fair and fit Haryanvi-spewing Akshay Kumar making audible mincemeat out of the baddies. Needless to say, it all takes place in slow motion. As if the monotony wasn't stretching long enough!
What's to be noted is how this renewed interest in 1980s filmmaking sensibilities is also reinforcing the Nirupa Roy/A K Hangal stereotype like never before. So after Phata Poster Nikla Hero's forced 'maa ki mamta' schmaltziness, it's Boss's turn to go overboard with what Sudhir (in Satte Pe Satta) called 'baap ki baapta'.
Speaking of the 1982 classic, its leading man Amitabh Bachchan lends his familiar baritone to introduce the silly premise of this sillier caper, which only works in spurts thanks to Akshay's ribbing and Ronit's rumble. Akshay's agility comes in handy during the stunt-filled chases that seem straight out of a Thums Up commercial.
Given the low benchmark of this genre, it's akin to praise when I say Boss is neither as absurd as Rowdy Rathore nor as ghastly as Policegiri.
When its intended attempts to tickle fail, Boss delivers a masterstroke in Mithun Chakraborty's hammy performance, letting his big Gollum's eyes and Raakhee-inspired sentimentality -- Aur woh aayega -- to do the trick. It's a moment of genuine mirth in a sham that's all title no thunder.
Madras Cafe (2013)
The movie that reveals the the truth of Ex PM's assassination
The assassination of Rajiv Gandhi is known to every one. Very few people know about how the plan is executed. There is no book, no encyclopedia, no experts who can answer this question but the answer is available in MADRAS CAFE. The research work by Shoojit Sircar to reveal the truth through fictional way is must appreciable. The movie contain all the positive and negative aspects that occurred during Rajiv Gandhi's period. The most important part that is to watch out is Tamil issues in Srilanka during that period. The killings of Tamil people through LTTE soldiers will just make you stunned. There is no negative part in the film. Crystal clear work. The first half which is full of suspense will make you not to leave the seat. The answers are all revealed in the second half. After a long time Shantunu Moitra presented his master piece music. The lines from geetanjali at the end makes the film a fulfilled master piece.
John's acting is must appreciable. His acting skills had developed a lot and Shoojit Sircar made the full utilization of it.
One word to describe..... Masterpiece Watch it for you worth it.
Shuddh Desi Romance (2013)
It's not Shudh Desi Romance... It's Lafra in Desi Romance
Director Maneesh Sharma whose previous two films Band Baaja baraat & Ladies v/s Rickey Behl was pretty much appreciated has very weird idea of working in this project. This is unexpected YASH RAJ banner's presentation which is not at all acceptable. Lots of negativity present in this film.Title totally mismatch with the story being written. The casting department seems like as if this film was just formality. Very weak casting. Sachin-Jigar's music which was appreciated in ABCD was lacking in this film. Parineeti Chopra seems like this was just a time pass for her. The film was extremely lengthy also the film degrades after interval. Lots of confusion throughout the film. Now the question comes then what to watch... scripting by jaideep sahni was decent so there are some scene which is watchful. Few comedy scenes are appreciable.Climax was perfect. Lastly the teaser of dhoom 3 which launched today is must watchable. The film doesn't deserve more than 4 stars. Overall a messed up story so it's upto you to decide what's your decision.
Pacific Rim (2013)
One of the best hydrodramatic movie watched.... Must watch movie
When we talk about sci-fi movie then we generally talk about 2012, day after tomorrow, transformer, terminator and others. Above all Pacific Rim has proved that only technology doesn't works. It's research on scripting, use of technology and the ideas on future was superb. Outstanding visual effects. The movie has fantastical imagery and an irresistible sense of fun.Pacific Rim is a solid modern creature feature bolstered . For adults its a fantastic creation and for small children I don't think there will be any other fantasy movie option other than this.
BRILLIANT MASTERPIECE. MUST WATCH IT
Satyagraha (2013)
Good film but could have been better
The film has been a good experimentation effort by prakash jha but somehow fail to touch the heart. Acting effort from everyone seems like they were pretty much dedicated to the film. Salim Suleiman was superb in back ground score. I felt the film to be little lengthy but overall one word is ACCEPTABLE.Big B was as perfect as expected. Ajay devgn steady and serious appearance seems to be good. Arjun Rampal retain his maturity level of acting from D-DAY. MANOJ BAJPAI was perfect in his character after ARAKSHAN... Still expectation was little higher from prakash jha..
The film is watchable...
