Whyyyyy. Why must they bombard us with nauseating editing choices. Just a few:
1) Random sound effect of a bear exhaling, for no reason, 30-60 times per episode. The first couple times. I thought my dog had sighed loudly. Nope, just a random sound effect to take you OUT of whatever is happening on the show. Maybe they think we're dumb enough to think there's a bear just off-camera 95% of the time? Terrible.
2) repeating the same voiceover from one character more than twice, or even dozens of times. Ok, we get it, you wanted to emphasize the emotions this person is expressing. Got it! Got it when you did it the 2nd time in one episode, three episodes ago. The 20 times since then have just made me want to hurl my remote at you through the screen.
3) Showing a lot of worthless filler footage and leaving out most of the survival footage, where things are actually being done to, you know, survive.
There's more, but you get it. I can only hope the producers read the reviews and change it. I'm watching season 10 (I started there) and am probably done unless I hear they changed this crap.
Otherwise, most of the contestants/characters are interesting, some likeable and some kind of annoying, so probably a good sample.

I tried, I really did. I like Jessica Alba and generally enjoy these special forces revenge dramas, even if I have to overlook some shortcomings and suspend disbelief.
But this was so, so, so bad. Netflix, just when I don't think you can defecate on your audience any more nastily, you do it again, taking it to new lows.
Right off the bat it's terrible dialogue...and there weren't even many words needed in the first scene. Then come the hilariously bad stunts (every reaction happens a full second before the action that caused it, for example). Then the usual cliches and more bad dialog. A chainsaw that mysteriously starts itself without gasoline or battery to be used as a weapon. Ok, I'm out. I pushed through for 26 minutes and that was 25.5 too many.
