Good actors. Bad writing. I understand that if somebody is on the writing staff for even just one episode of a previous hit show, that it's some sort of artificial pedigree; suggesting greatness. Not. This show's just NOT funny but is saved by the actors' skills. And just a little aside... Why claim that the show takes place in Texas, but nobody has a Texas accent except Montana (and Will Sasso)? Everyone else sounds like they live in Sherman Oaks. I hope this thing can get some momentum - because Montana is endearing. But right now it's pretty pathetic. It's like buying a ticket to a comedy club and walking through the door and you find yourself convincing yourself to laugh at something that's just not funny... But you laugh because you're in a comedy club. You're supposed to be laffing. The same thing here, coming off of the authentic & believable goodness of Young Sheldon, this is like the Emperor's new clothes... everyone thinks it's supposed to be good because of our history with The Coopers. C'mon! Get clever! Chuck, make me Chuckle. Get better writing talent on board.

Man, it feels sooooooo good to FINALLY find a new great comedy where I'm hearing myself genuinely LOL'ing. Bayer's timing/writing is stellar. Dig the cast & roles. This is what Amy Schumer WISHES she could be. Vanessa's just taken the inside track and the half-hour hit of clever stuff is gonna be a huge HIT. It's a chick-thing, so leave me alone with my Super Jackpot, k?
