We watch this show everyday. Its refreshing to see other countries and learn about its history, people, culture and cuisine. As parents its hard to find channels that are safe for our children. With all kinds of sleazy tv shows and movies we are really walking on egg shells as to what our kids are exposed to. Thanks to channels like HistoryTV, TravelXP and Discovery we have few good options. Our children are also big fans of the show and their willingness to learn more about various countries and their spoken languages has definitely left us parents happy. What else can we ask for...
This movie was Rad ! Especially the character of Erica Tate played by the Indian actress Elisha Kriis. It kicks misogyny in the face. Her well-layered performance as a con artist was a refreshing take with a lot of subtlety and realism. It's an easy watch due to its fast pace and fun screenplay. As a thriller, it does keep you hooked till the end. The filming locations are pleasing to the eye. The supporting cast Ellie Patrikios as Lauren Haley and William Mark McCullough as Mike did a great job as well.
If you like the horror genre with lots of gory action and somewhat twisted surprises then this is a movie for you. Ben Demaree did a decent job at direction given the limited resources and time constraints that go hand in hand with typical Asylum production (Sharknado fame). It was an absolutely fresh take on the old-school Hansel Gretel story. In the story, Hansel (Brent Lydic) and Gretel (Lili Baross) both go looking for their friend who has disappeared, then comes the showcase of a harem of hot witches, Chthonia (Jhey Castles), Circe (Elisha Kriis), Kikimora (Nanrisa Lee) and Morai (Adinett Nsabimana), who are gifted with unique powers. A lot of licking and seducing by sexy witches and headless torsos splattered across the screen. The film is truly a comedy of horrors. That is what makes this film thoroughly entertaining. It's the kind of horror that makes you laugh. Actors did a good job within the boundaries of the material they had been given. When you know what you are getting into with this movie then it's absolutely worth it!
