Singularity is a science fiction film with an eerily dystopian feel, directed by first time director Robert Kouba. It promises the world but does it actually deliver? I believe so. It could've been better if the concept was more unique, and the casting was better but doesn't that happen all the time? I was entertained and it left me wanting for more.
The film moves at a good pace, and the performances given by the main actors are believable and engaging. If you want to enjoy a good indie sci-fi you will find this a perfectly pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.
There was enough of action and intrigue to keep me focused for the duration of the film, and I was actually a little disappointed when the credits rolled. The actors, who to be fair are mostly a bunch of unknowns gave performances to be proud of, and you could feel the drama in the air, even when they would have undoubtedly been acting against the backdrop of the good old green screen.
Would I recommend this film to a friend? Well provided they enjoy movies in the sci-fi arena I certainly would suggest it as a great way to spend an evening. While it is far from Oscar-winning, Singularity is an enjoyable fun romp into a broken world.

There's something about a good horror film that resonates with you when it's done right and that's what this movie did to me. The story here is what it is, a story. And I appreciated it as I got into it. So much that by the time the movie got to hell and all the nutty stuff started happening I actually felt really, really bad for this girl. If it wasn't for the beginning of the movie I don't know if it would've had the same impact on me. The hell stuff, well, I'm a horror person, so that's why I watched it in the first place and that didn't disappoint in the least :) If you dig crazy stuff like Baskin and Saw you'll love this. It's not gory actually thinking back, but it's way effective. This is in my top 5 for 2017 so far for sure.
This makes me want to go out and make a short film. This not a Hollywood short film, but a good independent short film. This is bare bone, and raw film making. Special Effects, Sound, Visual stimulation, Cinematography and more are all on fire here (sometime literally), pushing the viewing experience to their limits. A well thought out film. Great plot with a clear direction. This is good example of how to produce a good short film. There's a lot of symbolism going on in this film. The plot is refreshing. The actors did a good job. A friend recommended this short. Excellent short story. The acting was top notch, the effects were brilliant, and i was glad that i got to see it in the cinema. Thumbs up.
