Wow! Hallmark came up with a great new plot for Santa Tell Me. No tired retreads here. Erin is the best I've ever seen her in this movie - so real, natural, and charming. And I LOVE having four Hallmark leading men vying for her. It is just fantastic fun. Each of the three initial contenders does a fantastic job portraying the potential right guy, but each with fun quirks we normally wouldn't see in the leads. And there are soo many laugh-out-loud, feel good moments. The resolution of it all is so satisfying and doesn't feel rushed, even with the high energy of the final scenes. This movie is one I will look forward to each year to lift my spirits. Whimsical, magical, romantic. What more can we ask of Hallmark and some great actors at the top of their games?
I kept trying to figure out why I love this so much, when it IS a bit over the top. It's the great combo of fine character actors supporting two charming leads who have sweet, natural, vibrant chemistry from the start. There are many laugh out loud moments of light-hearted fun, which frankly, I could use more of right now. Family Christmas events have a fun twist on the usual tropes. Even if the conclusion to the conflict is a little pat and rushed, it makes us feel happy. What more can we ask out of an uplifting family movie? Love these two leads together and hope to see more of them in future Hallmark outings.
I have been waiting for this movie since the first trailer I saw for it. I love the Biltmore. I love Bethany Lenz. I love Kristoffer Polaha. But I could not have imagined the absolute magic that they would create in this movie. The writing far surpasses any Christmas Hallmark movie I've ever seen (and I've seen them all.)
The device for the time travel is ingenious and used with both humor and pathos. The 1947 sets and costumes are gorgeous. The acting feels like a major release movie instead of tv. I laughed and cried. I can't wait to watch again to catch more - there's so much to absorb in every scene. Thank you and congratulations to Hallmark for creating a new Christmas classic.
