Okay people, we do know this isn't real life right? This is a show written by some people to air on some streaming app. We know sooo many people these days are self centered, self involved narcissistic, vapid, garbage people. Especially some of the younger extremely entitled generations. But Come on a hex that kills off past lovers in order years later, it's a stupid story. And truthfully kind of original! I didn't hate it. It's easy to watch and easy to hate a lead character and you know what, you're supposed to hate her! I have always enjoyed the stiffness of actress Zosia Mamet. It's kind of her thing and doesn't bother me. So I disagree with reviewers who say she's got no personality. This is her personality. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. I enjoyed the diverse array of characters, even the cheesy ones. Soundtrack is great. I've always like Michael Angarano too and he didn't disappoint in this. If there's a season 2, I'll absolutely watch it. Even if just to lighten up some bad days because this is supposed to be a dumb comedy that removes you from the drudge of everyday life. At least that's what I think it is. Stop taking everything so seriously people, just chill damn.
I've never heard of, or seen Jack Rooke in anything. I'm in America so maybe that why. If not, and this is his first attempt at a comedy/drama series... He absolutely knocked it out of the park! This show has so many amazing elements. First their choice of actors, I've seen John Pointing, in many things and really enjoy him on screen. This show has heart and so much sweetness, it can be quite deep at times too. Tackling real life problems with dignity and grace. I have teared up more than once and I have laughed a lot. I really hope they continue on with a season three! I will definitely be here for that. I'm kind of sad that I just found this show and will have binged it all in 48 hours. I already know I'm going to be sad when it's over! Great show!
Okay I'll be the first to admit I didn't see Eddie Redmayne as an assassin. Well he has totally made a believer out of me. With his cool demeanor and stoic attitude. I know this has been done before by way of television and big screen but with their choice of leads they bring in something new. I was happy to see Úrsula Coberó from Money Heist. I know she's been in a couple things since then and she always delivers. Haven't seen a whole lot from supporting cast, up to this point, but we're only half done with the series. We've been shown lots of excitement and I for one am absolutely rooting for Eddie, even though we know he's a killer. The creativity in gun manufacturing is really something to behold. I have no doubt things like these and many more, that are out of scope of our imaginations, have been and are being made. It's still cool to see. I'm excited to see where we go from here. If I need to, I'll come back and change my review when the season is wraps.
