The Marine that went to war.
What better time to rewatch this movie in honor of Ira Hayes right after Trump erased him from the Department of Defense website. For no other reason than he was not a white man. Of all the men there that day, I only remember the name of one of them. That man is Ira Hayes. He was ordered to sell war bonds around the country afterwards which made him uncomfortable because he did not consider himself a hero. He never recovered emotional after finally returning home. Johnny Cash explains it better in his song of the same name The Ballad of Ira Hayes. Go listen on YouTube. #DEI.

So much better than the Golden B series. Michelle Obama has a hit on her hands.
The seniors are all a bunch of characters. Some you love and some not so much. But then they get the right match and you look at them in a whole other light. It was fascinating to watch the transformations.
The counselor knows her business.
The 'kids' who are already adults make it interesting, too, because of their vacillating embarrassment and love for their parent.
I thought I would watch just one episode to start but ended up binge watching it all. You probably will, too, so allow enough time. If you have to get up the next day, don't start it that night.

I saw this short film at the Lake County Film Festival recently and thought it was very good. At the Q&A afterwards, I learned it was the true story of the writer and his friend from high school.
His friend with an eclectic personality suddenly finds out he has testicular cancer and has to spend some time in the hospital. While there, his colorful personality charms everyone, the other patients and the staff alike.
The acting on all accounts was superb and you will get sucked in immediately. It won't be long before you are in love with this guy.
I recommend your seeing this film...but bring the tissues. It runs the gamut on emotions.
