Vikings: The Message (2017)
Ah yes, feminist rhetoric
It's pretty sickening how this show constantly tries to push certain agendas and ideologies as they are natural and true.
Plot twist: no, they're not.
Good Omens (2019)
Just your regular demonic shows
The premise that an angel and a demon could "be friends" just shows the makers of this abhorrent show know nothing about the spiritual world... or rather, want to impose an "it's all good" mentality.
PS: that Prime ad is extraordinarily annoying
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
I can't believe I spent 2 hours of my life on this
It has a few minute long scenes that are mildly interesting and make you want to see what's going to happen. Of course, as with the rest of the film, nothing happens. And if something DOES happen, it's pretty much either a drugged out experience (some kind of makeshift home made drug probably), either a totally sober man trying to come up with a hallucination that a regular drug experience would induce.
Either that or somebody just discovered 3D rendering and/or color effects.
One could say for that time it was innovative. But i've seen good movies made in that age (with their wacky special FX), so that's not an excuse.
Anyway I wanted to give it a 3 but it's a 2 to balance out all those 10s.
Brilliantovaya ruka (1969)
If you like old school, "clean" humor, you'll probably love it even if you're not Russian
I know I did.
Although I do have a slight idea of the old socialist/communist way of thinking (slight is the key word here) because I was raised in the Romanian country side, where you could find traces of that in the older generations, I really enjoyed it.
It's the kind of exaggerated comedy, I would say Tom & Jerry kind of exaggeration that can totally cheer you up on a bad day when you don't expect much "brain work" or subtle humor (although for Russian people, it seems to have a lot).
My favorite scene is probably the nightmare, which is so random and ridiculous that it could probably become a meme in seconds today.
Anyway, this is a very personal & subjective review, the bottom line is that you CAN enjoy it even if you're not Russian.
Lambs of God (2019)
So much blasphemy in the first 10 minutes
It would be madness to watch on. Twisted man, whoever conceived this series. May God have mercy on his soul.
