Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
An epic 2nd instalment !!!
Oh man! What a fantastic "Spidey" movie. I loved the way it played with Gwen - Miles stories by giving that delicate touch and the entire multiverse concept is further enhanced by out of the world animation, astonishingly gorgeous frame worthy shots throughout. It takes time to hit the strong beats but when it does man, there is no going back. The story unravelling part in the final hour is what made this one a finest movie. That entire third act, score and the visually aesthetic animation together blended so well and churned out one of the greatest Spidey movies. It literally upped the game from the first part in every sense and exceeded the expectations. Those unexpected little sweet surprises made my heart melt, beautifully baked in it the story. Brilliant set up for the third part and can't wait to witness the epic again on the big screen. Do yourself a favour and WATCH IT.
Yajû no seishun (1963)
An entertainingly engaging yet impactful movie from 60's
Went in expecting Seijun Suzuki's usual Noir/crime, but this one exceeded my expectations. Seijun's visually artistic sense got a perfect story to weave and he blended them so perfectly with his gritty narrative style which in turn compelled me to glued to it till the end. The color choices in this movies makes every scene visually appealing and the camerawork, editing , creative shots further aided the flow. Despite violence being brutal, the way they shot and executed those episodes satiated my hunger. The twisty narrative keeps the flow intact and goes on a pretty solid pace throughout. Opening the movie in B&W and moving it to the color in next second shows Seijun's crazy style, I loved it. Jo Shishido is the show stealer and rest of the gave ample support. The beauty of this movie is , with every passing minute, it made me appreciate it more and by the end of the movie, became one of my favorite movies ever in this genre. It may not be an out of the box idea, but the stylistic and creative choices makes this one an entertainingly engaging yet impactful movie from 60's.
The Valet (2022)
A sweet, delightful romcom!!
The main reason to watch this movie is Samara Weaving and I'm glad that I Picked it, as it did entertained me. Richard Wong's tale is simple, delightful, charming rom com. We have seen similar tropes before, but both Samara and Eugenio Derbez's moments held me intact, I loved their scenes. It is 2 hrs long and I really wished that they stuffed more of Samara and Eugenio scenes , because, there is this underlying spark, charm and light hearted vibe which enticed me. Eugenio's funny ,innocent/good person act is a treat, his facial expressions alone gives us everything. Samara is beautiful and she did put up a good act, keep doing the work girl. I was hoping something else towards the end to satiate my hunger for love, but it took other direction. Keeping the rom com aside, the mother - son arc and the Korean- Mexican blend put a smile on my face. I loved the mother character, such an amicable act. Over all, a sweet , heartwarming, fun rom com. I wanted to give this one 6 , as it is really decent to good one, but the 6 rating may lower over all rating, so decided to give it 7 to give it a push. You won't regret, definitely a sweet watch.
7 Days in Hell (2015)
Crazy , Ridiculously entertaining , wild fun ride.
This fictional sport mocumentary is absurdly funny , Weirdly silly with over the top scenes but all these aspects fits so well and generated plethora of laughs throughout, barring few instances. Both Kit and Andy held it so good till the end , they just made me laugh hysterically. Oh man, Andy character may seem hyper but he stole the with his attitude and i'm pretty aware of his capabilities as an actor and he delivered it with panache. Kit is equally good in his role and gave his character the needed touch. Even the other cast's witty descriptions about the match evokes laughter. Some parts of comedy may not work for everyone, but to me, it is indeed crazy , Ridiculously entertaining , wild fun ride.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)
Nic being nic generated good amount of comedy. Give it a shot!!
The idea of Nicolas playing Nic alone grabbed my attention, he is incredible, lively and the charm he exuded on the screen along with Pedro makes this one an entertaining watch. Their bromance worked wonders man, such a lovely duo. References to Nic old movies brought a simile. When movie is focused on these two, it is indeed heartwarming, hysterical and keeps that genuine cinema viewing happiness alive. However , it gets into other part which is mildly fun , but not as effective as it is before. I really wished , it was all about Nic and Pedro , as it was so refreshing and entertaining to seem them having time of their life. A love letter to Nicolas. A Sweet, fun movie. I enjoyed and had a good time at the cinemas !!
Rocky (2021)
Visually artistic piece of cinema
Would call this revenge action drama "a Visually artistic piece of cinema". Every frame is carved in such a way that, it shows their love, passion and hunger towards cinema. Arun chose similar revenge gangster drama which has already been used several times in different industries, however his visual storytelling sense worked for me. He narrates story at his own pace and slowly gets us drenched in his aesthetic action world. There are plethora of shots in the movie, where I uttered " Wow " for its visual and camerawork brilliance.
Even though , you feel that movie is slipping a bit in the middle , it still gets us back with its aesthetically immersive violence blocks. Bharathiraja and ravi put up an impressive yet effective act. One particular action block reminded me of Oldboy(2003). Top tier Cinematography, solid framing, Arun's visually aesthetic narration, action choreography and performances makes this one a good watch. The color transition is beautiful. Visually Great! I would give this 7.5/10.
Bestia (2021)
Quite powerful, raw and intriguing short
Inspired by true events . This one tells us a story of Íngrid Olderöck , who is a cruel Chilean torturer during military dictatorship. At first , I didn't get the theme and not sure where it is heading to. Half way through it, Hugo Covarrubias started revealing the real picture by showing us the brutal side of the story which genuinely shook me. Still, I didn't get the whole gist and after finishing the short, quickly Googled the real story pertaining to Ingrid. Now, looking back at the short, I could literally feel the beast vibe and how she brutally tortured victims using her dog, sheer madness.
In just 15 minutes, Hugo delivered powerful , raw , dark , real content by using stop motion animation which further enhanced the experience. He brilliantly created the beast world with his animation work, I'm highly amazed and impressed. Even the score is eerie and perfectly blended with the flow. Great!! Just jump in blindly and give it a shot. I hope it takes the osacr home.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Spectacular in every sense , Hail Spider-Man !!!!!
This one not only exceeded the expectations, but raised the comic movie experience bar so high. Being a hardcode Spidey fan, couldn't have asked for more. Holly Molly, what a MONSTROUS ride man, It got everything right from the word go till the last frame. Whole theatre erupted with loud cheers, shouts for every 5-10 minutes and continued till the end. Kudos to Jon for churning out a movie like this and sustaining the momentum throughout by giving nostalgic fan service moments. It just went with the flow and all the key cameo roles got a smooth entry into the movie and didn't feel like they added it for the sake of adding , which is indeed a big achievement. VFX is spectacular, especially the bridge scene and mirror dimension sequences are astonishing.
Charlie Cox got a huge non stop roar, such is the impact he created and so happy for him, cant wait to see him in action . Grew up watching Tobey's Spider-man and then to Andrew's Amazing Spiderman and next to Tom Holland's Spidey iteration. All three got their own unique style in portraying the role and did their best to carry the legacy. Seeing these guys together on the screen talking, exchanging banters, having a bro time and web swinging is nothing less than a TRUE CINEMATIC MOMENT. All the sequences and conversations pertaining to 3 spidey's are well written, crafted and shot. Tobey and Tom praising Andrew as " amazing " is a well deserved one. Saving Mj is one of the best moments in the movie and following Andrews emotional happiness is precious. I was literally smiling and brimming with joy the whole time looking at them like a kid who got his first candy taste.
There are people who hated Tom's Spiderman version but, this time he gonna make you fall in love with him with his act. The character Growth , maturity . Emotional connect he got in this flick is amazing. Despite Andrew's , Strange and Tobey's presence , Tom managed to stand tall and shouldered the movie, phenomenal. Chemistry between Zendaya and Tom is endearing. All the villains did their part but Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin act is crazy and dope, just wow.
Multiverse and fan service served right with utmost perfection. Thanking Marvel studios and Sony for giving No way home. This is surreal man, still reeling under multiverse spell. Im gonna watch it again and again. One of the greatest theatre experiences ever and instantly became one of my favs ever. Few may think, 9 0r 10 rating is too much but the happiness , nostalgic vibe and the cinematic experience provided by NWH deserves all the praise, high rating and love. I don't know how it gonna hold up the viewing experience in the future, but for now, Im on cloud nine.
Dune: Part One (2021)
Visually enchanting experience!!
The scale and visual grandeur of Dune is crystal clear from the first frame to last shot and could easily be termed as one of the finest visual spectacle to come out this year. I'm literally bowled over by the beauty of Dune, there are so many breathtaking shots throughout the runtime. Just to cite one , I would pick the first glimpse of spice sand sequence, as it literally appeared to me like a Victoria secret model with its sheer beauty and visual curve which instantly made me utter few words in the theatre " holy cow, sexy shot man " (weird comparison , can't help it ) and that dessert mouse close up shot is the one to look after, wow. The lighting, focus, detailing, everything is presented and captured aesthetically. Sand worm shots though ,surreal.
Here come the master Hans , who gave life to Denis Dune with his heart pounding and exhilarating score, as he invariably enhanced the viewing experience. I did feel the dune world atmosphere and the adrenaline rush vibe through his score. Mesmerizing. Lets give a shout out to Greig Fraser and Hans for making Denis vision so grand and elevating it to a notch higher with their work.
House Harkonnen, Atreides , Arrakee set pieces are astonishing and so are the costumes. Especially Bene Gesserit's dark figure black costume is incredible. The detailing and designs deserves an appreciation. Great
Fine performances from the lead cast , be it Rebecca, Oscar, Timothée everybody put up a good act. Rebecca as Lady Jessica is literal Goddess and carried the role with élan. Zendaya is seen in bits and pieces throughout, but she gonna rule in part 2. More than the performances, it is Denis vision , Greig's cinematography and Hans score which makes this one a visually stunning experience. These three put their heart and soul into this, visible. I wasn't bored at all, a good sign.
Considering the source material, it is touted be an " unfilmable " subject. However, same is not the case when " Denis " helms , as he made this one " Filmable" with his master tactics and used the material in such a way that, the story detailing, characters , set pieces , visuals everything takes you into his " Dune " world and immerses you completely. Watch it on BIG SCREEN to have a visually enchanting experience.
Jôi-uchi: Hairyô tsuma shimatsu (1967)
one of the finest film's out there!!
Another master work from Masaki Kobayashi. A pure Samurai drama which centers on familial issues and depicting how they stood up against injustice is not an easy task to make viewers to sit through for two hours, however Kobayashi weaved the story in such a way that, every dramatic turn it takes in its course makes you even more eager and gets you completely immersed in his narration. The way he structured and managed the flow throughout shows his strong command in making gripping Samurai dramas. He got wonderful support from his lead cast , as they brilliantly portrayed and gave life to the characters. The majestic score did elevate the movie in every possible way, especially the traditional Japanese sound is breathtaking and even the cinematography captured the whole movie essence so beautifully with its gorgeous lighting and great framing.
My man, the legend Toshiro Mifune yet again gets into the skin of the character and showed his acting prowess by restraining himself when needed and rampaged at crucial junctures. Toshiro and sword match made in heaven, when he holds it and slice the opponent, its a sight to be behold. His final act is memorable. Whenever Toshiro and Tatsuya Nakadia appear on the screen, it's just a visual treat to the eyes. Even Yoko Tsukasa as Ichi is remarkable as strong women, I really loved her arc and character guts. Go Kato as Toshiro's son is impressive.
When the movie is about to end, I looked at the runtime and wished it was long. I was totally into it. One of the finest films out there.
Malignant (2021)
Weirdly entertaining and engaging flick.
Wow, James Wan!!! When he helms the project, he always gets it right and it is proved yet again with Malignant. I know, few may dislike or get annoyed by the third act, but I pretty much enjoyed the revelation and the following sequences are literal bonkers. The atmosphere , technical aspects, score and ,camerawork worked in its favor and particularly, the high angle shot of Madison running in the house is perfectly captured. The police station episode is lethal, beast unleashed. I got thoroughly entertained and engaged throughout the movie which I label it as a success. I won't say that it is an outright masterpiece but undoubtedly an enjoyable fare , as Wan ticked all wild , weirdly cheesy and crazy boxes to keep us glued. A nice blend of whodunnit , horror and action. A Solid 7, Do check it !!!!
Wan, such a talented and creative freak!!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
An enjoyable ride throughout.
" If you aim at nothing, you get nothing "
Shang chi gets most of the part right with crazy action choreography which is undoubtedly the major attraction. First act is racy and has crazy action episodes and later, the recurring flashbacks served the story purpose but at the same time, slightly hindered the flow. Not a big issue though as the action part kicks in and makes up for it. Third act ten rings action visuals are pretty damn good and the water formation is breathtaking which reminded me of Raya.
New guy " Simu Liu " owned the Shang chi role, as his efforts are clearly visible on the screen. Especially during action episodes , he nailed it with his quick reflexes, even Meng'er Zhang as Chi's sister did put up an impressive act and Awkwafina provided a bit of humor with her quirky attitude . Fala Chen is so beautiful, i fell head over heels for her smile. The man, Tony Leung stood tall and delivered with panache, his presence worked big time. Always love to see Michelle Yeoh on the screen , she got that aura which pulls me in. Trevor and Morris stole the show, loved their bonding :)
Over all , with couple of surprises , good performances , amazing score , striking visuals and top notch action pieces makes this one an enjoyable ride throughout. Had a good time at the cinemas. Simu Liu is a fine addition to the MCU. Easily deserves solid 7-7.5 rating !!
First post credit scene is whistle worthy moment , JUST WOW!!!
No Man of God (2021)
Engaging but not effective.
Amber Sealey's No man of god focus is more on Ted bundy and FBI agent bill's relation rather than the crimes he committed. This one is nowhere close to the level of Mindhunter series probing tactics, as this one lacks that striking or engrossing conversations to tuck in. I read and aware of the fact that, director wanted to give this flick a different touch by being grounded and emphasizing more on Bill - Ted bonding , I get it and appreciate Amber for churning it out the way she wanted , however barring final 20 minutes and couple of scenes in the middle, failed to pack a punch.
Eerie and haunting score. Both Elijah Wood and Luke Kirby performances made me sit through till the end, especially Luke as Ted is incredible. In the last act, Luke showed his rage and changed the momentum, had they maintained the similar tone in the earlier acts, this one would've been a crazy ride. Best scene for me in the movie is the one where Bill and Ted completely gets into some zone while unraveling the info and this is where the movie reaches it peak. It is engaging but not effective. Overall, decent- good watch!!
CODA (2021)
Sweet, heartwarming and charmingly delightful flick.
One hour into the movie, I felt this is fine and not going in the direction I expected but exactly from 1HR 17minutes, it changed its course and went bonkers with roller-coaster of emotions till the end by giving beautiful , heart tugging scenes one after other and even made my eyes moist. Doesn't mean that first hour is bad, it is quite good and held well by the leads through their outstanding performances , just that it is not on par with the third act. Kudos to Sian Heder , she handled the subject with élan and brought the best emotions from the real deaf guys , hats off.
Emilia Jones as Ruby is brilliant, beautiful and incredible throughout. She carried the movie and of course, got amazing support from reel family who did an outstanding job in elevating the movie with their sign act. You eventually become a part of their family, such is the atmosphere and vibe they give through their performances. All the three actors in the movie are real deaf persons and trust me, they make you feel their struggle, plight , emotions just with the signs BRAVO.
Troy Kotsur as Ruby's dad is natural and phenomenal. There is one scene in the third act, where he asks his daughter to sing for him and place his hand on her neck to feel it is one of the finest and strikingly beautiful scenes ever. Same goes with the scene where Ruby asks her mother " did you ever wish I was born deaf ? " and the following scene with sign language and no background music made me feel something which is unexplainable. I give credit to actors for making me go through this, love you guys.
Had it carried the same third act feel in the first hour, overall rating would have been higher. Yet, it deserves 8 for the actors especially real deaf persons act and for Sian's heartwarming stroke. Couple of issues but forgivable , as it managed to overcome in the final showdown. Do yourself a favor and watch it!!
Jungle Cruise (2021)
Watchable " Cruise ride "
Cruise is not as effective and entertaining as anticipated but Dwayne Johnson - Emily Blunt are good together and did hold the movie, especially loved Emily and she is the reason for me to sit through, Emily supremacy. Jack Whitehall as Emily's brother is apt and Jesse Plemons is fine. Could've been way better at effects and entertaining part, as it lacks the punch. Bland Disney adventure which failed to get to the peak of other adventure flicks.
Even though it has good dose of action/adventure sequences, I felt they're bit underwhelming. Not an outright bad one , watchable. Average !!
Emily rocks <3.
Mimi (2021)
A heartwarming take on surrogacy
Laxman Utekar's depiction of surrogacy by blending humor and emotion is highly effective , which indeed brought the roof down ( in a good way) and the way he shifted the tone of the movie from comedy to emotional(vice versa) in a blink of an eye is what makes this one standout. Humor gonna surely tickle your funny bones, as it has plethora of laugh out loud moments to enjoy and at the same time, it even makes you emotional. ARR soothing music elevated the movie feel.
Coming to performances , I would first like to talk about my favorite Kriti Sanon, she lived, owned the role Mimi like a queen and it is her finest and accomplished performance till date. She gonna receive accolades from all the corners, such is the act. I'm so happy for her and glad that she accepted this role, she knocked it out of the park and Pankaj Tripathi ji, give him any role, he just takes it to a notch higher with his grounded and earnest performance. As Bhanu, he gave his best as always and did supported Kriti in every possible way along with Sai Tamhankar who is another asset to the movie, she is too good as Shama. Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak , they're proved actors and did a wonderful job yet again. Special mention to Evelyn Edwards and Aidan Whytock, as every time we get foreign actors but performances tends to be normal but these two people are pretty impressive. Entire cast makes you invest your time and brings a smile on your face.
Its been quite a sometime since I had a gala time throughout, what a ride. Giving this one an eight for Kriti and Pankaj, they deserve it.
Au revoir les enfants (1987)
Incredibly poignant movie from Louis
" More than 40 years have passed, but I'll remember every second of that January morning until the day I die "
Subtly powerful and captivating tale from Louis Malle. After finishing the movie, I got to know that , it is actually based on true events from Louis childhood. My rating may seem little over the top for few of you, won't deny..but, I will try to explain the reason behind in following statements.
First, the movie is slow and takes its time to set up the path for an incredible ending and in this process, our mind may wander and might even make you think, what's happening as we don't get that adrenaline moments to feel high. Having said that, this entire story is being shown from kids(Julien and Jean) perspective who are not completely aware of war and why Jews are being persecuted , all they care is fun, friendship, teasing the new guy amidst the chaos in the background. So, here Louis focused more on Julien and Jean bonding by threading scenes which makes their relation even more stronger with each passing minute and we do get couple of tense moments in the runtime which literally shows how tough it is for few people during Nazi occupied France.
Louis didn't dramatize the events to make it look powerful or gut-wrenching, rather he chose subtle effective manner for depicting the events through kids pov and took his time to establish the core them around them and I say, it really worked for me. I will cite an example here, there is a scene in the movie, where a single glance from a kid changes entire mood of the film and I was literally hoping for a miracle there to help the other kid, such is the impact and you can see, how immersive I was and I even forgot the earlier slow pace issues.
Entire cast did a wonderful job and all the young actors looks so natural on the screen, especially two kids Julien and Jean portrayed their roles so perfectly that , we gradually get attached to them and ending gets into your nerves. It might not be as hard hitting , tear jerking as other movies but still an Incredibly poignant movie from Louis. Giving this one an extra half for Louis and the two kids
And Irene Jacob <3.
Black Widow (2021)
Not the best, Watchable !!!
It's really really a great feeling to see Natasha on the screen again for the last time and undoubtedly she deserved this. Had it been released in 2014 or before timeline, the entire setup and rage for black widow would've been way higher. Keeping this aside, I won't say it is one of MCU"s best, but I enjoyed BW barring few hiccups in the middle with patchy cgi in couple of scenes. CGI part could've been lot better in the last act as it spoiled the real fun. Grounded fight sequences would've made this one more effective, as we are pretty aware of BW's strengths.
Scarlet is Black widow and she served it right all these years being an avenger and seeing her in action again for the last time is really different feeling. I don't know about others but whenever she is in action mode with her " kickass pose " , it gave me good vibes and when Yelena uttered " you're a poser" I was like...yeah she is and we love it when she does it. Of course Jo excelled in her role as usual, i wanted more of Natasha stuff here as it is the last movie but fine, kind of satisfied. Young Nat protecting her little sister Yelena in the beginning is indeed a beautiful scene. Loved jo and Florence bonding , such a delight !!!
Florence Pugh got a great debut in MCU , she literally grabbed the opportunity and showcased her talent with her fierce performance and attitude as Yelena, loved her. One of the finest additions to the MCU, no doubt and I'm pumped up to see her in future marvel projects . LET'S PROTECT YELENA AND KATE BISHOP (Hailee) <3
Lovely Rachel Weisz, good to see her and did her part as Melina along with David as red guardian. Expected a lot with taskmaster part but it is a letdown. Over all, Nat - yelena show all the way and it is a good ride. That post credit scene though , intriguing ;)
Final bid adieu to NATASHA ROMANOFF AKA BLACK WIDOW <3 love.
El verdugo (1963)
Berlanga's satirical take on an " Executioner "
Berlanga's depiction of an executioner who unwillingly accepts the role to save his family/apartment is highly laudable effort. He perfectly used the premise to bring out the black-clever comedy throughout, even though it missed the mark at times, still succeeded in evoking genuine laughs. A bit tedious in the middle but once it gets into the heart of the story, events pertaining to the " execution " which unravel during the course made this one a great watch.
The one particular scene, where Luis tries to stop an argument between two guys , as he thinks this might leads to a fight and somebody would get killed which may eventually gets to him to execute the killer is indeed a clever witty stroke from Berlanga and the depiction of lead character dilemma in the final jail sequence is beautifully captured and shot, finest. Had he maintained similar structure throughout, this would've been an easy 5 star for me, still I enjoyed this. Deserves a watch for is perfect usage of B&W color palette , natural performances from the cast and Berlanga's direction.
Vicious Fun (2020)
Viciously fun ride !!
I love movies which justifies the title and this one does it in style with 80's touch. I really loved the gore act throughout as it is quite impressive and did hold my interest till the end. The second act in the police station is bit tedious but, the first and final act really worked for me, thoroughly enjoyed.
Ari Millen's menacing performance is over the top at times, but does his job with panache. Amber Goldfarb character is kickass and literally added fuel to the proceedings with her attitude and Evan Marsh as Joel is fine. That continuous stabbing scene is whistle worthy , holy cow. Good outing from Cody Calahan and the ending hints at a sequel, I'm pretty much into it and would be very happy to see how the story unfolds. I'm sure, this one gonna find its audience. I want to give it 6.5 but not possible here, hence giving this 7. It's not a bad film at all.
Grab a popcorn bucket and watch this " Viciously fun ride " .
Luca (2021)
Simple yet beautiful flick from Pixar !!
Yet again, Pixar delivered a warm, fun, cute little movie in the form of LUCA which has its heart at the right place with right amount of friendship , drama and adventure to tuck you in. The Vibrant and eye pleasing animation will make you sit through. That final send of off in real form is indeed a marvelous touch. Cant say it is one of the finest pictures from Pixar, but definitely a good watch.
"Vespa deserves an award for supporting role ;)
Mare of Easttown (2021)
An effective murder mystery drama.
A well crafted murder mystery drama. It takes its sweet time to set up the drill by introducing us a bunch of Easttown folks and then, we see how Mare aka Kate solved the missing persons case along with the murder mystery. The character development and the entire series atmosphere is damn good that, they just make you part of Easttown and It's like, your town story is being unraveled intron of you.
Mare character is so well developed throughout the series and exceptionally performed by Kate , as she literally gave life to Mare. I really enjoyed Kate and Jean Smart relation on the screen, it is so pleasing to see both rocking in their roles and even Julianne Nicholson as Lori so impressive, as we can feel her pain. Entire cast did an incredible job. It is slow, but Effective writing, performances and occasional mystery revelations till the end makes this one an interesting watch. You can check this out.
Kudos to HBO!!
Together Together (2021)
Ending could've been better!!!
I was so pissed when the movie abruptly ended at the hospital scene, how could you do that Nikole Beckwith? I didn't want the movie to end and wanted it to last for another 30 plus or even more, as i was ready to go for it. Loved Ed Helms - Patti Harrison act and chemistry on the screen, even though there are no specific romantic scenes to feel the vibe, they still managed to exude the charm and made me part of their surrogate journey .
The conversations are so authentic and real. The only problem I have with this one is that the relationship factor is not properly etched and no bac story either to invest on them , due to that, the outcome of the bonding is bit rushed and ending is kind of disappointment as I waited to see the most precious moment. Yet, both Matt and Anna genuinely made me happy throughout and even though there is no proper relationship arc, I still felt some kind of connection, as I literally wanted them to be together. Kudos to Nikole for handling a surrogate subject effectively, Over all, Sweet, funny and charming movie.
El inocente (2021)
An intriguing mystery thriller !!!
Oriol Paulo, the man who can twist the tale like nobody else does it agian with " The Innocent " . Undoubtedly highly satisfying limited series. Narration, twists, Character development, intriguing plot etc all these factors blended masterfully and takes you for a ride till the end. I loved the way he introduced every character backstory at the start of the every episode takes us in to their real life. Finale predictable but previous episodes are bang as they wont let you take a leak. It easily deserves a solid 7.5 -8
rating. I really can't wait to see Oriol's next feature outing, genius man. Give this one a shot!!
Nayattu (2021)
Realistic, Gritty survival drama
A survival thriller drama which depicts the story of three police officers who are on a run for life from the system and department who're trying to convict them wrongfully for a hit and run case. Wonderful performances from the leads, Gritty , compelling narration will hook you till the end. Joju George is so good in his role, loved his act. Director's realistic narration is what makes this one standout and been checking the runtime out of anxiety to make sure that i still have enough time to get a conclusion in the end, that's the beauty of dir for making a viewer to get so immersed, kudos. That ending is surely hard hitting. Very good movie.
