I think this is a a good film because it is based on a stranger's POV on the italian culture - the film portrays two stories set outside of Italy with italian people taking a trip abroad. So the story is playing with some classic stereotypes of "commedia all'italiana" - a very specific italian movie genre of comedy, which is light, fun and entertaining, but also providing the look of the "other", in order to actually celebrate italian culture and life in general.
