6 Underground (2019)
As expected from Michael Bay
High concept action flick with gorgeous locations and nifty special effects, as was expected from Michael Bay. PS: There's an awesome car chase scene in the beginning.
There's one thing I want to acknowledge. You see Ryan nowadays in all these action comedy movies as compared to those romcoms he used to do earlier. From Deadpool to Hitman's Bodyguard, it's so nice to see how beautifully he performs these roles, and how much he is skilled to fit so aptly in all the roles he do.
Helicopter Eela (2018)
Why 'Helicopter'???
Filled with over dramatization of events, Kajol's overacting, numerous obvious plot holes and every Bollywood cliche. Its amazing to see that they can even make you hate such a movie. I'm feeling disgusted to my bones after watching it.
Not recommended at all (0/10)
Murder Mystery (2019)
A complete package
Sandler's comedy, Aniston's quirky remarks, exotic scenes, rich with the mystery itself (10/10 for plot by the way), a very nice comedy mystery drama. Recommended!
The Heat (2013)
Contradictory messages
On one hand, you are showing that female workers are looked down by their misogynistic coworkers, and on the other hand, you show those same women using derogatory references like crying like a girl and much worse. It's not fun to watch. Tried very hard to be a comedy, but its not!
Plus One (2019)
Another wedding-themed romcom
There was nothing new to the story. Everything falls in as expected. Friends become couple, break up, patch up and everything else...
But what I liked about the movie was how the story was shown. Wedding after wedding, Best Man and Maid of Honor speeches. All of that combined with the dialogues, it felt very real. Cast has done an amazing job.
I really enjoyed it. Recommend watching it.
I Am Mother (2019)
Too boring
Expected storyline, nothing new to watch here. Same old CGI stuffs. I dozen off many times, and it took me 3 sittings to complete the movie. Too boring. I don't recommend watching it.
Criminal Justice (2019)
A must watch, added to all-time favourites!
A fabulous cast, a mind-wrecking mystery in the plot and the situation of our lead, Vikrant, all these work so cordially and beautifully that you can't stop binge-watching and wondering that it could have happened to anybody.
Perfect depiction of bright and dark sides of our society, our media, our legal system, all of these have been shown in the series.
A perfect cocktail of crime, drama and mystery shown with just perfect amount of emotions. Kudos Team Criminal Justice! Eagerly waiting for the next season.
The Rainmaker (1997)
Not just a Davis vs Goliath story!
As the synopsis of the movie suggests, it shows Matt Damon fighting the insurance claims giants, but the story is much more than that. What I liked the most about the movie is the personal touch it brings. The story builds up slowly but elegantly, and its beautiful to watch Damon perform so naturally.
I think that this movie might have set him up perfectly before another one of his gem, 'Good Will Hunting', which was released within a month after this one.
We Bought a Zoo (2011)
Great enjoyable movie
A delightful movie to lift up your spirits. Movie moves at a good pace, where our cast faces ups and downs, but its that '20-second courage' that makes the difference. It's a really enjoyable movie, and it'll definitely take away some of your stress.
Changeland (2019)
Tried hard but couldn't connect
Tried beautifully to portray the journey of our broken-hearted hero towards a new life, but something was missing. But I guess that's how life is. It's not how you expect it to be, its not full. You gotta live your life rather than living in your past. That's what this movie is about.
Great scenes and imagery from Thailand. It seemed like the cast went on a vacation and shoot the movie on the side.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)
A fine addition to the X-MEN series
In the beginning, I was skeptical of this new timeline and Sophie Turner as Jean. But after watching this movie, I'm happy that they are living up to the old standards. Great cast, fine story, a little bit of 'Dark', but everything you expect from an X-Men movie.
If you are a fan, don't miss out. It's good!
Ratatouille (2007)
Awesome movie!
I generally like animated movies more, so my review might be biased a little. But overall, the movie was great. It was very relatable. Not a rat cooking in a kitchen, of course, but in breaking out of mainstream, going against the wind, breaking the stereotypes. That kind of stuff.
Going to my all time favourites definitely!
Student of the Year 2 (2019)
Waste of time
Not better then the first one, but atleast it has a story. Bad acting, unrealistic situations in the story, full of first-world problems. Better go and sleep at home than to waste your time and money at theater.
Always Be My Maybe (2019)
A Nice One...
I enjoyed the movie. It was all what you expect in a rom-com and then something more. Story revolving around the fact that finding love is hard, but keeping it is harder. A nice, fun aspect of the movie was the raps in between, including a great one during the credits. Don't miss out on it!
A Dog's Journey (2019)
Great heartwarming movie
Continuation of first part, 'A DOG's PURPOSE'. It will definitely make you cry, and that too several times. A really great movie filled with love, positivism and cuteness. Great cast, awesome dogs, fantastic story.
A must watch, not just for dog lovers, but for everyone!
Street Kings (2008)
A fine action thriller
Brilliant cast, nice script, suspense that can make you hold onto your seats. Not a slow movie. Scene after scene the story builds up. Expected more from the climax though. All in all a fine movie to watch.
Before We Go (2014)
One for the books
Being a Chris Evans and Alice Eve fan, my judgement maybe biased a little. But this movie hit close to the heart. There were scenes of utter silences in which no one was speaking, but the emotions said a ton. Waiting to see more movie like this one!
24 Hours to Live (2017)
Not a typical action movie!
A nice cocktail of good plot with action. It's worth a look. Not a 2-time watch though. The thing that I dig the most is how elegantly the story-line is woven.
Catch-22 (2019)
A fine Dark Comedy
A fantastic cast, brilliant cinematography, tinch of black comedy here and there. The overall situation of Abbott is in itself fully. It's like however hard you try, life will find a way to turn you upside down, until and unless you accept that some things are just out of your control.
The Last Stand (2013)
Oh God! What did I just watch?
Please don't give dialogues to Arnold. Every time he opens his mouth, garbage flows out, and only subtitles can help make sense of what he is saying.
Next thing, if you are being compared to next Escobar, the least you could do is hire some gunmen. 9 gunmen firing at Arnold and Co. We all know how it was going to end.
Pretty obvious dialogues and stupidity as shown in every second action movie. Fails miserably in connecting through emotions, even after the death of someone close.
Don't watch it. Don't waste your time and money on this!
De De Pyaar De (2019)
Total flop
-1 : Ajay Devgn's acting
-1 : plot defects
-1 : where's the comedy
-1 : where's the romance
-1 : cinematography
-1 : unsuccessful attempt at humour/bad dialogues
I think I should deduct more points, but I'm not gonna spend more of my time and energy into this.
Let's Be Cops (2014)
A fine comedy
I enjoyed the movie. With some good background songs according to the situation and occasional laughs, this was a fun movie to watch. Don't expect a total laugh outburst, but it can definitely lift your spirit.
Olympus Has Fallen (2013)
Stereotypical movie
Nothing new here. White House is under attack and one man saves the day, while others don't even try to diffuse the situation. They are just spectators, watching it all go down, as we do from other side of the screen.
We Are Marshall (2006)
Over portrayal of emotions
Don't get me wrong. I feel for the people who suffered. I commend on the theme of the movie, that fighting on is more important than giving up, even when the odds are against you. But what bothers me is that you don't have to do that for 130 minutes straight.
The cast have done a fabulous job and they have given their best. Kudos!!
Miracle (2004)
An Inspirational Movie
The movie shows the hard work and dedication required to 'perform a MIRACLE'. It only takes one visionary to set the eye on the impossible, and if you have the means and the heart to achieve it, there is no such deed as impossible. That's the gist of the movie.
One of the best sports movie to watch.
