Ugh what a pathetic toxic needy display. Kevin Hart really, really wants you to know he's trying REALLY reALLY hard. He's just cant wrap his head around something or someone being effected by his words other than him & his all encompassing career. Hart did not need to make this nonsense to explain this for us. I think a needy little man trying too hard could be the title to his next special. Too shallow & too proud to think beyond his viewer numbers bringing us on a colonoscopy of his weak will & spirit.
Is the longest most self indulgent PR sell of Mchart evah. Whether the often funny on stage standup, was, is or will be homophobic is flattened down into an "impossible burger" of a trash film about how he is a flawed, but hard working wanna be billionaire. Well, that would make any normal man just too tired to decide whether he does or doesnt approve of gay people, but not HART, he keeps Right on! There has always been a "tries too hard" neediness to Kevin Hart's comedy but I really thought that he was too smart to take us on a colonoscopy tour of his spirit & never even peek out to see that maybe how HE was effected by his own foolish words is less important than his ego might have lead him to believe. He NEVER bothers to address the effect his homophobic material may have had on something other than his vastly important "I NEED you to pay & love me career". Ugh, I cant believe I watched this needy little wind up doll for 6 episodes. I did not have a problem with Kevin Hart before this show. But I've got no respect for this. Nothing was learned by him, there was no new light to be thrown on his old material for us, just a "I'm tough, things are hard for me & I try harder than anybody" posturing that one should really be on his payroll to have to listen to. Sure he apologizes earlier...sorta, but not for us to hear... & not really, cause who the f^%& are we to react poorly to his words? Just know he's a hard working little man, & he's not serving up real meat in this. Kevin Hart, you will never be as good as when you perched on Patrice's knee as his "little dummy" Suck it Kevin Hart! Please take that in the way that makes your masculinity quiver most.
I thought this movie was amazing. Breathtaking & raw Reese Witherspoon did a wonderful job showing the guts & warmth & spirit it takes sometimes to move forward & "put yourself in the way of beauty". Watching her make her way down the path while confronting her own demons & maybe deciding what she thought was the boogie man was really a guardian angel I was blown away. The love & courage one must have to feel their way down that path & the humor & light that was given to that journey did my heart good. Watching Cheryl (Reese Witherspoon) handle the slide show of dark, cold, warm & fuzzy moments she had in her head from her past, & the sweaty ruthless & forgiving, glorious, terrifying aching & wondrous path she had to confront in her present it truly made me feel happy to be. If you have, are, or expect to go through anything in your life that is heavier than what you can fit in your knapsack than this exquisite poem of a movie will do your soul good.
