The series is pretty entertaining and the cinematography is breathtaking.
As someone who is disgusted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I found it off putting how many gratuitous Russian references were in the film. The fish's name is Pushkin. The cryogenic scientist is Russian. Tatiana is the name of the young assassin. In real life, the Russians are killing thousands of Ukrainian civilians. Why glorify them?
I echo some of the other reviewers in being confused about just how powerful the aliens are. They tried to kill Saul before he got on the plane and after he got off, but didn't mess with the plane. But they messed with the plane when Wade was on it. Doesn't make sense.
I really enjoy Eiza González as an actress, but her character in this film is always angry for reasons that don't make sense. Why does she have such a problem with saving the world? Frankly, most of the main characters seem self-loathing humans who, to paraphrase Tyler Durden, don't want to save their species.
All that being said, I am sufficiently hooked to be interested in watching season 2.

All of us have heard about the Clinton empire. This movie shows the development of that empire, and really illustrates the nexus of public policy, not-for-profit and business interests.
It also portrays the Clintons as human beings. It shows them as a family, but it highlights their flaws. It gives a sense of how Bill & Hillary went from idealists looking to do good for the world to corporatists looking to do good for themselves, and the world as well if it fit in with their quest for power and enrichment.
This is a film that will interest political junkies, and provide an education for folks who don't regularly follow politics.
