Started off really good up until the 6th episode. Engaging plot where we follow Dream's journey to regain his tools that which help him become his old self again, the king of dreams. Visually fantastical and befitting of the genre. Although, after the 6th episode, the show loses its grip. Starts to venture into other subplots that don't necessarily correlate to the prior one. Resulting in less care for the new characters that weren't developed earlier on the show. Lots of LGBT inclusivity, a common Netflix trope nowadays, however it serves absolutely no purpose to the storyline. It also becomes too obnoxious the way they hammer down the homosexuality in these two particular episodes where it shows most side characters are gay. It feels too politically driven. Which is sad because people make movies not for the sake of filmmaking anymore, it's always about political beliefs. Sad to see where this show is going. Truthfully hope there's saving to it if they decide to do a season 2.
