Strays (2023)
Not for family viewing
Horrible movie. Grossly vulgar. Definitely not aooropriate for children. My family and i were very much looking forward ro watching this movie. Unfortuately, within one minute of the movie begining, the vulgar laced dialog was overwhelming and definitely warranted termination of the movie.
This was extremely disappointing to my family and me. As the owner of a Boston Terrier, we were intriqued by the potential portrayal of a Boston Terrier in thIs movie. Wow... what a disappointment!!
Rather than clean family entertainment, we were given extremely gross and vulgar fare. Disgusting is an under statement. Strongly suggest avoiding this piece of trash "movie" at all cost. The producers, actors, director, and anyone else involved in the production of this garbage should be ashamed of themselves.
The Love Club (2023)
Indescribably Apalling
This "movie" is absolutely one of the most horrible in Hallmark's history. Truly unwatchable and disgusting. The actors should feel guilty to grace this this "film" with their presence. (Talk about selling out for the Benjamins!!) Disgusting in every way. Terrible script and storyline. For instance, the hapless "fiancé" was treated as disposal, insignificant trash by the lead female actor, who was portrayed as an innocent, helpless "love"victim (I won't mention her real name for fear of permanently associating her acting career with this piece of garbage). Needless to say, the writers, producers, and actors responsible for this movie should be ashamed of themselves. PLEASE don't produce any followup films and the thought of a "Love Club" series is terrifying.
Noel Next Door (2022)
Excellent Holiday Fare
Nice blending of the traditional "Scrooge" theme with a modern day tale of divorce, single parenting, and disability challenges. Very well done. Excellent writing, acting and character development. Natalie Hall is a joy to watch and, as always, a master of facial expressions. Corey Sevier's portrayal of a stroke victim is realistic and moving. Having had a father who suffered a similar stroke in real life at about the same age as Corey's character, I can identify with the impact it had, not only on his personality, but also on his general attitude toward life itself. Both Corey's and Natalie's performances were spot on. Highly recommend.
Rip in Time (2022)
Washington Irving Would Approve
Outstanding retelling of the literary classic. Just the right mixture of history, modernity and fantasy. Excellent character development and period scenery. (And Victoria, BC, makes a worthy a substitute for New York's Catskills.) Well done Hallmark!
Tie the Knot (2016)
HORRENDOUS
This movie is so bad, I'm ashamed that I wasted time watching it. From the script to the "acting", this movie sets new standards for mediocrity. Absolutely pitiful.
A Tail of Love (2022)
Hallmark at its Best
Great script, great casting, great acting.... and most importantly, adorable dogs. As a wiseman once said, "The more people I meet, the more I like my dog!" Btw, Brittany Bristol, as Bella, was at her angelic best.
Magnum P.I.: Shallow Grave, Deep Water (2022)
Jay Hernandez at his best
An emotionally-charged episode made possible by superior character development. Jay Hernandez (Magnum) had me teary-eyed in the closing scene. Seems like this series gets better each week. Muy bueno!
Venom (2011)
Mojave Rules!
Best part of the movie is the Mojave Desert scenery. Mojave is timeless... and may she always remain that way. Ten stars for the Mojave. Two stars for the movie.
Every Time a Bell Rings (2021)
Too WOKE
Unfortunately, Hallmark has now succumbed to the WOKE crowd. Not sure why. Cancel culture advocates still won't watch Hallmark movies, regardless of how much the network tries to placate them. (Thanks for the memories.)
A Kiss Before Christmas (2021)
Outstanding
One of the best Hallmark movies ever. Even made me teary-eyed. Highly recommend. Character development is superb and believable. Proves that nice guys do finish first (at least in the movies).
Next Stop, Christmas (2021)
Outstanding
Best Hallmark Christmas movie so far this "season". Lyndsy Fonseca's character and personality were infectious and endearing. Of course, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson made the movie even more special and harkened "Back to the Future" in a memorable way.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made (2021)
Outstanding
Script, acting, music score, etc exceptional. Character development and emotional depth extraordinary. Not your average Hallmark movie. Highly recommend.
Rise and Shine, Benedict Stone (2021)
Exceptional Hallmark Movie
Ella Ballantine (Gemma) was phenomenal. Heartwarming script with excellent character development and human interaction. Beautiful location scenery and music score.
Christmas in Montana (2019)
Beautiful scenery
And Ava Preston, as Chloe (the teenager daughter), "stole the show."
