This movie is worth a watch (as long as you can handle clown ghosts). Found footage format is always interesting to me and I turned this on to have playing while doing some other tasks and I got sucked in to its suspense thru the whole thing. It seemed a lot more modern than I anticipated from just seeing it as a streaming option on AMC and reading the small description. I have no idea if this is based on a true location? But I'm curious enough after watching I'm sure I'll be searching that soon. Certainly not my favorite horror film, but not deserving of the many low reviews I saw on here IMO.
This was excellent and I would say really got better as it went on. Very exciting and well paced in my opinion. Picks up 1 year after the end of Silence if the Lambs. It's not about Hannibal, that's why it's called Clarice. And much like our heroine the show is focused on Psychology AND ... on being woke ... which is unfortunately why I suspect to see so many low ratings. From those who don't enjoy seeing strong powerful female heroes, who will scoff at the representation of racial inequality (in the FBI ... in the 90s ... but unfortunately still so relevant today). Who won't like positive representation of the trans community, which I feel this show did an excellent job with. Calling out how silence about any of these injustices or inequities can be just as damaging as the acts themselves, or sometimes worse.
The representation of PTSD and unprocessed traumas are so well done on this show. Something we need represented, that so many need help with and think it may never be possible. Another great show that lints out mental health (issues) need to be talked about and not swept under the rug.
Beyond all this the story line is full of conspiracies, mystery and suspense. Definitely worth a try if your considering. Like most ... don't start late at night like I did as I ended up watching 5 episodes the first night and the other 8 the next day.

Was surprised to see the low score here as a really enjoyed this movie. Did not know it was a remake or any background so I went in with no expectations. Now I'll admit I've crushed on the two main actors for some time so that was enough for me to give it a watch. Glad I did.
