From the start of the film, we are told that humans are morally grey, but some are just black. The film explores such a character and the things he is willing to do to get what he wants. From the start as well, he himself is narrating and we get to see and hear everything from his lens.
He is a morally reprehensible sociopath who will manipulate, deceive and kill to get what he wants.
The darkest part is- he gets away with everything. He wins.
Evil people don't always get what they deserve and this movie is not glorifying evil at all- but rather portraying it from an evil person's POV.
Just look at this quote from another "reviewer":- "Film makers have one responsibility towards society, to give right message through his movies. This film failed to so."
This is simply wrong. A film maker's job is TO TELL STORIES. They can be anything. Many reviewers have said similar crap as the dingdong I quoted above and they are CONFUSED because they think PORTRAYAL=APPROVAL. No. Its a story.
Let malayalam cinema break away from this goody-two shoes always happy and cheery endings and morally good protagonists, let there be some realism in the stories we tell, and the reality is, sometimes evil wins and this movie has portrayed this with class and brilliant execution.
Yes, this movie is a lot like nightcrawler (lil bit of American psycho too here and there) but this "criticism" ignores how even though it has the same story beats and over-arching moral theme- it is not in the same premise at all.
Overall, the comedy was excellent, the characters were all well written and realistic, the acting was great and the cinematography and editing is beautiful. There's not much to nitpick in it. Entertained from start to finish. Solid 10.

The movie was going for a complex, nuanced and theatrical spectacle, however, it was poorly executed. There was no coherency between the scenes or the dialogue of the characters nor was there any character or theme to fall back to that gave the surreal aspect any weight.
I can definitely see heart and care in this work, but in all honesty, no aspect of this film was "deep" or thought-provoking, something one would expect from an art film like this.
I found myself struggling to piece together what the creators meant to accomplish or meant to convey with every scene before I could even come to my own thoughts and interpretations of it.
The acting was sub-par and was kind of distracting. The dialogue and dubbing was a little jarring as well.
All in all it WAS a surreal experience, but not because of the work in and of itself, but because of its incoherent nature.

The movie definitely had its moments but the way in which the plot un-folded was lack lustre, cliche and frustrating at points.
The main characters are alright, but that's about it. The villain's revealing was never foreshadowed nor set up. The tragic story of the villain is drowned by the nagging feeling of how rushed it felt.
Could have definitely been better. Disappointed. :(
