It's What's Inside (2024)
Amazing movie if you're into sci-fi
It's What's Inside is a great movie 10/10. The concept and execution was excellent. It's a mind-bending movie that makes you think about how crazy things would get if you could swap consciousnesses. Reminds me of the movie "Self Less" with Ryan Renolds. They're many movies and tv shows that go into this concept of switching consciousness but this movie left me a ... wtf that's insane. Things go south really fast and you're left on the edge of your seat. I shared it with my brother and he really like it too. It's thought provoking like does this tech actually exist or what if it did.
If you like parallel reality movies/tv shows like Coherence, Dark Matter, Severence, TimeCrimes, Resolution, The Endless etc. You're going to really enjoy this movie.
Dark Matter (2024)
Wow! Absolutely Mind Blowing!
This show is incredible! I ordered the book after just seeing 3 episodes. I'm a huge fan of the movie " Coherence " and this show just took it up a notch and more. Everything was just done perfectly. The actors and actresses expressions were on point. Joel Edgerton is an incredible actor, he played every version of the character to perfection. The sound effects used were excellent. The story is great and the way that they explained the concepts of SuperPosition and being in Luminal was phenomenal. The show explores parallel realities in a way no other movie or show has down before.
The concept of using ampules to enter luminal is sick because from a manifesting point of view the ampule is just removing your doubt and then you can shift between realities. So essentially if you remove your doubt you can enter luminal and then you're in SuperPosition. Many manifestation teachers have talked about the same thing (Parallel Realities) for years. It was awesome to see it visually in a show like this.
I can't wait to see what happens in the final episode. I hope they make another 5 seasons of this show.
Ryan, Amanda, And Leighton can each have an entire season just based on what they experienced after entering the box.
The Acolyte (2024)
It's good, watch it and form your own opinion.
I just finished watching the two episodes and so far it's good. I really don't understand the hate. It's like people can't form their own opinion and will just follow some reviewers bleak view of every movie/tv show. Those people have to critic everything so they can put out content. Negative reviews get more views than positives ones. It's not actually an honest review. They're all just trying to get more views and they'll say anything bad to get it.
I saw a bunch of bad reviews on youtube and after watching the show it's about two sisters. Yin and yang, good vs evil. Standard star wars stuff. Family and siblings fighting on opposite sides. The fighting was cool and the story is just starting to develop. I don't see how you can just write this off as a disaster from two episodes.
They didn't make any star wars content for over a decade and If these people keep blindly review bombing every new film or show. They'll stop making them and then we won't get anymore. I don't know about you but i enjoy them all. They're all good in their own way.
The show is a 7/10 so far and will only get better as the story develops. If you're rating the show a one. You're clearly biased against Disney/Star Wars.
Road House (2024)
Great movie
Just saw the movie and it was actually pretty good. Great work by Conor for his first film and Jake was great as always. The story starts slow but builds into a great movie with lots of action. The first half was just story building and then the second half filled in the details like the back story of Jake's character. Jake was leaving town but when he saw the .... store .... (No spoilers). It brought out more of an emotional response from Jake. Which added a nice feeling that Jake actually cared for the towns people now. Enough to do something about the people's troubles. It was the point where this wasn't just about the money anymore.
Overall I'm giving it a 10. It was a fun movie to watch and I enjoyed it. If you're a critic you'll find plenty wrong with it but if you're looking for a good movie to just enjoy. This definitely ticked all the boxes.
The Boys: The Instant White-Hot Wild (2022)
Why would soldier turn on his son
This episode completely switched up on us. Why would soldier boy fight homelander after calling him and telling the "situations changed" and then after he finds out he's a grandfather. That's bad writing. Butcher decides to stop soldier boy at the last moment??. Two problems were about to be solved and he switched up to save Ryan. Ryan isn't his kid and now there's an even bigger problem because Ryan is going to turn bad and he might be stronger than homelander. The last episode of season 3 is the down turn for this show. This looking like the writers were rushed or something but this franchise had the potential to become the new & better marvel.
The Contractor (2022)
Great movie
"Hell or high water" starring Chris pine and Ben foster is one of my favorite movies. So I had to watch this and it didn't disappoint. I give it a 9/10.
The Strain (2014)
Great show
I really enjoyed watching The Strain. Don't listen to the over critical reviews. It's a great show. If you like True Blood, you'll definitely like The Strain. The actors and actresses did an excellent job playing their roles. The story just got better and better after every episode.
Update: I liked the show so much, I watched it a second time.
Invasion (2021)
Men cant do anything right lol
It's a good show. Slow but I enjoy it. My only problem is how the men are portrayed as weak and cowards so they can uplift the women in every scene as a super achiever.
The father was a useless cheater, the kids father's were abusive, the bus driver was the only one hurt after the crash aka useless, the soldiers were useless, the male doctor was useless until Aneesha came to the rescue and the soldier Trevante abandoned his girl. The jasa chief was useless.
Now every scene the women are made to look like achievers and the men are weak, indecisive cowards. The women even call them cowards multiple times in the show.
Aneesha who isn't a licensed doctor but can perform surgery better than the practicing male doctor. Mitsuki is all knowing and her male friend is soft, less intelligent and easily frightened aka coward. Aneesha is better than her husband at everything. He cant even turn his tesla on so she has to do it for him. I Wonder, how did he pay for that car and house if he's so useless. I can go on but you get the point.
That's the reoccurring theme here. Men are useless cowards and the women save the day, everyday, at everything. Men can't do anything right. If they made a show degrading women like this. The world would really end.
Fatman (2020)
Loved it
It was entertaining and fun to watch. Hope they make another.
Kevin Hart: Zero F**ks Given (2020)
Trash
Went in excited for another Kevin hart special and I watched the whole thing but it was just awful. He's telling rich people problem stories the whole time to regular folks and none of it was actually funny. Idk who actually laughed at this special. There was no comedy felt like I was just listening to him talk. The ending was the worst. He made fun of a guy that helped him get better while he was in the hospital and couldn't move. Not cool. You don't make fun of somebody that helps you when your down.
