Ryan Gosling is my favorite actor always has been. I watch any movie he makes as he usually makes good choices. This was not one of those.
I would say this is his worst film beside Nice Guys.
The idea, the locations, the stunts were fine.
The execution and script that was like an episode of Macgyver was just bad. The supporting cast only highlighted Ryan Goslings natural talent and. Charisma. Emily Blunt and Hannah Waddingham must have read a different script. It was very D grade story and had potential, but I hope Ryan enjoyed a holiday in Australia as Australia was the only good backdrop. Hard seeing an Oscar nominated actor in such a terrible film.

This was a hot mess from start to finish. The best bits were when I took a nap during. She has the appeal of karaoke singer and the moves of of your mum after a few drinks. This concert is relevant for Screaming girls who wrote in their diaries and fantasise about Prince Charming and Disney films. To be honest her vocals are just average and I know people rave about her writing but those people have had limited exposure to music. This was overhyped had 20 too many songs. I would only recommend this to anyone struggling to sleep. It's as exciting as a headache. She is not a great performer it all feels phoney.
I really tried to watch this with an open mind. I didn't know anything about the premise. But every person was raving about it. I have no idea how Robert Downey Jnr won any award let alone be nominated. He was awful. This film dragged and dragged and took 4 breaks to get through it. In the end I still had no idea what I just watched. The only positive was Emily blunt and Josh Hartnett. There will be no best editing awards as this movie went on longer than the pandemic. I can see why Barbie was so popular competing with this snooze fest. If you do watch this. Set aside 5 hours, and a pillow as it's very drab.
