Doom Patrol: Wax Patrol (2020)

Cliffhanger (no pun intended)

I guess I now know the feeling of the old cliffhanger serials of yesteryear, with the question of how the heroes will cope with the dastardly situation only to see the dreaded "to be continued" on screen. This was much easier knowing we only had to wait a week (or hit the next button for us latecomers who are binge watching the series), but due to the pandemic we have to wait. Arrghh!

While this is far from the best episode of the Patrol, that is like saying it is an average van Gogh in a special exhibition of van Goghs. The key element of the series, the characters, are advanced. The plot twists / reveals are unique. The humor is bizarre. The confrontations make sense. It makes you wonder what would happen if you were there. I still love the fact that everyone is not in lock step and they argue about what will be the next best thing to do.

And it all leads to the how will the writers get themselves out of this one. I think I have the way out to solve at least part of this, but that qualifies as fan theory. Not the best episode, but still far better than most of what is available.
