Lot's of silly tropes in this film, but I suspect it's likely a pilot. The creators tried to fit too much material into this episode, so it came of corny as hell, but that's not saying that the subject matter isn't relevant to the proposed SHTF or WROL scenario.
I think some rational people will be very put off by the religious mumbo-jumbo in this episode, but I this this isn't fair. America is a deeply religious fundamental country, almost un-par with the Middle East, and the fact is, during a crisis, a lot of fundamentalists will rely on their faith systems to cope with a heavily traumatic situation. So, I say to my rational readers, this is still a very valuable insight for how religious fanatics will deal with stress.
Last thing to note, just out of jest. I love it that even our religious fundamentalists who are often aligned with far right-wing rhetoric, struggle with socialism vs capitalism, and I found this theme very entertaining...even though, I'm in neither of the ballparks.
Enjoy!

If you have seen the first film, this one will throw you for a loop. A lot of the things which made the 1st film great, were just not here. The grit, the great believable action sequences, the high stakes and the highly questionable outlaw cops.
What we get here is sort of a caricature of the characters from the first film. Less tension, a LOT more needless exposition, we get one short gun fight, and a good car chase scene in the end which ends is a pure dues-ex-machina resolution.
If I can summarize this movie, it would be reminiscent of the Italian Job, and a sort of an Ocean's Eleven. But both poorly executed. As much as I enjoy the 1st film, the sequel just disappoints.
If you haven't seen the 1st film yet. I highly recommend watching the second first, that way you wont have the shock of disappointment.
Grab a beer take off your thinking cap...and try to enjoy.

I get that this film is meant to be quirky, and a ballad for the late 90s. Side note kids, the 90s sucked bad. The only good thing about that decade, was a vibrant economy access to jobs and affordable housing. Culturally it was quite lame and Fred Durst, is a prime example of everything what was wrong with the 90s.
Back to the movie. Y2K is proof positive. That as long as you have a drive, determination and a few connections, you to can make a movie...no talent or artistic taste necessary. The screenplay could have been written by a clever 6th grader.
The characters are flat, and highly derivative. The only flow to the film is a goofy storyline and a good actor, Julian Dennison...who unfortunately is now dangerously obese so enjoy his style while you can.
I hate it that it that I had to write a poor review...but the screenwriters forced my hand.
