Never Have I Ever (2020)
Are we all watching the same show?
I don't know how this got a high rating but found this really desperate, not funny and awkward? It's just a wannabee high school comedy show but almost embarrassingly the opposite. Typical storyline, characters and storylines. Wasted my time watching it!
The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022)
So Lame.
Soppy boring romance with horny virgins who want a wild summer. Just awkward, weird & lame. Not sure how this was enjoyable. SO CRINGE. Gen Z work at irs finest.
The Gray Man (2022)
Captain America & Ryan Gosling = my dream
If it wasnt for the characters I would definitely have not watched this but a mediocre action film, Chris Evans as a psycho is something nice to see I must say! A bit of everything really but seen it all before.
Purple Hearts (2022)
Its cute... thats it
Gonna be honest here I watched it purely because these two are just really good looking! This is a typical wattpad/reddit fantasy love story but uno when you have nothing to do on a Saturday evening why not!
Theres 100 hallmark movies like this so I've seen it all before.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Is there a such rating that could be -1?
Honestly I saw my review from 2015 and I rated this series a solid 10/10. I cant believe the build up to this and the years if anticipation and cliffhangers led to this crap! Makes me sad as if it was executed properly could have been the best series in television history. It had everything a show needed and for it to end like this? Wow. I am insulted. My whole life is a lie. I am quite dramatic, unlike this series finale. Dont waste your time. If you haven't however watched the series before then enjoy and savour the first 7 seasons! Its a masterpiece. Wish they would remake and delete the whole of the final season.
Normal People (2020)
Was I watching the right show?
Honestly did not know or understand the fuss about this show. Character development was very slow and there was really no end to this story? I might have mis interpreted it but just felt like one big drag.
Had so much potential but was just very very much the same each episode. The storyline really could have been much more but did not feel a connection with it at all.
Selling Sunset (2019)
It's embarrassing that I love this?
Ok so, trying to really get away from reality shows like keeping up with the Kardashians but found myself watching this on a Sunday night whilst in lockdown, whilst also having a mental breakdown on how terrible this year has been.
Felt slightly triggered, going to an all girls high school it automatically takes me back 10 years ago when I had to deal with females like the characters in this show and found myself putting myself in the main characters shoes which made her super relatable.
to summarise, yes its an awful show, and it made me for the two days it took me to finish it want to be in real estate instead of working my boring 9-5 and if i was 6 foot tall and blonde barbie doll would make me want to audition for a show like this lmao. But it's either this or watching another season of rupaul drag race it's honestly not bad. just watch it wont kill ya.
The Fall (2013)
Was NOT what I expected ...
Ok can we start by saying I am 7 years too late.
I'm sure I am not the only one who came across this series in 2020 but BOY I am impressed.
I am one too judge too quickly especially when it comes to British series, I always find them not leading anywhere, not much acting, a little annoying, storyline does not develop the way the typical netflix show does etc.
Firstly the 2 main characters are amazing actors anyway. Could not have though of a better Paul Spector or Detective Gibson so round of applause for getting that spot on.
In terms of storyline, I am a sucker for thrillers and this honestly had a little of everything I like in a drama. Creepiness, stalking, murder and mystery. must say this won't be one for the faint hearted, it's intense like PROPER INTENSE till the last episode.
There's a part of me which makes me sad, to think I would hate the main character being a serial cold hearted killer, it made me sad, for him to fit in a world to which he was not loved to begin with, breaks my heart. It makes me reflect on real life and how you really don't know a person , with or without the sinister thoughts. Paul Spector lied about how he was treated when he was younger and it really opens so much more about the character. Worth a watch but it really does get you thinking, there was definitely a soft spot from Stella to Paul and I loved it, was never a one sided, bad guy character, I hope this makes sense!
My Brother Jordan (2020)
A must watch - don't even think about it just watch
Recently saw this on my recommended page on youtube, I must admit, ignored it a few times. I've pretty much rinsed everything on netflix and youtube due to lockdown but sat down and decided to finally give this documentary a go.
Also would like to mention for a person with such a short attention span like myself, I could not take my eyes off this documentary.
The story telling, music, just the voice of Justin honestly broke my heart, I am still unsure how within an hour of this documentary we know so much of a person and how they lived their life, such a pure genuine soul, gone too soon.
Such a powerful documentary, you don't have to be super emotional or have to have a brother to understand the relationship Jordan had with his brother, friends & family. I normally do not relate to videos but this one really has stuck with me, makes me wonder how I should live life now and appreciate everything and everyone around me.
I think anyone who appreciates how good this documentary is you will know Jordan was a person who left just enough love, strength and motivation to let Justin complete this documentary and leave a bit of him with each and everyone of us. I believe the world deserved to know the good Jordan had in his life and the impact it had on the people around him really reflects.
I also strongly believe there are a few videos and documentaries such as this that really connect with me, I think I will remember Jordan and his legacy for a long time and it summarises those who I have lost around me. If you do decide to watch this, watch it whole heartedly and with full concentration, you will feel it too.
Justin is such a strong human for even attempting this because honestly speaking if this was me, I wouldn't know where to begin, I feel as if I have lived my life with their family within just an hour. If I even had the ounce of happiness Justin felt with Jordan I would feel complete. Whoever is reading this I wish you all the best.
Unbelievable (2019)
Literally, unbelievable
A must watch. Amazing acting. You won't be able to just watch one episode, you have to finish the series in one sitting. Film making was amazing. Each episode leaded onto something huge.
You (2018)
Can't. Look. Away.
Woah, the amount of people on social media who were watching this was unreal so I had to indulge... and boy am I grateful!
It's oddly satisfying yet at the same time sooo uncomfortable characters/storyline was GENIUS (well done directors/producers) way to draw in a crowd. How can I watch and cringe at the same time?
Soundtrack, effects, the narration. Amazing. I must say a good narration draws me in instantly. What I love is, how confused you become at the end of the series. Who is actually a villain and the heroine? Gets you thinking. Was Joe's reasoning on killing Gwen really her own fault for lying to him!? Can't wait for new series boy was I hooked on this!
The Walking Dead (2010)
Is this show getting better?
I don't know where this show is headed.
Started off AMAZING. Obsessed. Great storyline, concept and very original compared to all the other tv shows out there.
Last season, Rick being gone, Carl dead, what more can they give us? Could be totally wrong. But still will tune in. Nothing will beat the first 4 seasons action. Made me cry, laugh and smile at the same time.
Don't watch if you are squeamish.
L.A.'s Finest (2019)
It's not THAT bad...
I may be biased as a huge Jess Alba fan, but is the show really that bad? Love the characters but I just know shows like this doesn't last more than 2 seasons.
Has so much potential but honestly not a bad watch. Typical LA, bad boys storyline but in some ways, loving the two female leads!
Take Two (2018)
Why so serious?
Just an all round show to watch, don't know what the negative reviews are about! Should definitely not have gotten cancelled after a season. Great storyline so much potential. Cool characters too!
Wentworth (2013)
Underrated show
A tense, thrilling and grasping TV series. Very much underrated. I love prison based shows so i was a huge fan of this. It got straight to the point and doesn't disappoint. I cannot wait till its back. I also watch Orange is the new black but this concept is different because its more serious. You cannot compare the two even though both is based around womens prison unit. You do not have to like a certain genre to watch this or be super intelligent, you can simply enjoy it. I'm really upset hardly anyone I know doesn't watch it which is why i had to write this review as to why everyone should! Again like any other show there are characters you love and hate which is awesome I get so attached to them. It is not a typical storyline in an everyday prison is what i loved.
Prison Break (2005)
Why did it have to end?
I have never watched a show, which made me feel a billion emotions at the same time. I watched this series during my GCSE's and all i could think about during exams and revision was Prison Break. To be totally honest, after the first episode i was sooo addicted like i would rush home and start watching. Some of the story lines were so hard to believe and all four seasons are super different.
Sona, season 3 was very emotional. However, some of the characters such as Mahone and Bellick I actually cried for them. When Bellick died for the sale of the others i had to cry. You get so attached to them in the end especially when Michael dies. I would 1000% recommend this show you will not regret it!
Hostages (2013)
Brilliant
I have to say, i wouldn't normally watch shows like this bur honestly it was straight to the point, anyone can watch it as it is not confusing. Also, its only 15 episodes which is quick. I enjoyed how it was political but there's these big twists. Honestly wish it could move onto another season. Was so upset when it finished. Would definitely recommend. You do not have to be super smart to understand the concept. The characters are all really good and i loved them all. It is not a typical storyline so its not something you have seen before. I am planning to watch it again as i watched it a year ago. Please watch it! You will not regret!
Game of Thrones (2011)
Love love love
Okay i admit it, i never thought i'd be watching a series such as this. I only started watching it because one of my favourite footballers watched it! And i was so addicted, an amazing show with a great storyline. I love how some of the characters are so lovable and others are not. My favourite definitely has to be Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark and Jon Snow. Its so hard waiting nearly a year for the new season to start again but I'm glad there are books which i am hoping to read soon. It can be quite difficult to grasp the storyline at time especially because i am not used to shows such as this, but listening carefully and sometimes just googling stuff i don't understand really helps. I finished all four seasons in four days which as you can tell i was very much addicted. I would recommend all viewers to watch!
