Good intentions but god awful execution and acting. These actors are actually so painfully bad I contemplated turning it off countless times throughout but had to continue watching for a class(the only reason I would finish this movie). The plot has several holes in it, the cinematography might as well have been done by a monkey, the pacing is so amateur it hurts. Wouldn't wish a viewing of this movie on my worst enemy.

This is understandably a split reaction for people because the movie isn't made for everyone. It's dark, depressing, and makes you question what is and isn't real in your mind. Everything is very well executed and performances are top notch. Phoenix's commitment to the role is phenomenal and is definitely worth the Oscar buzz.
