Sorry but this movie was so slow and not scary at all I didn't like the characters either. I was hoping the vampire would just get all of them so the movie would end faster. No luck. Photography was really good but not spending $$$ to see it. Will Defoe is quite good in the movie, but not enough to carry the entire thing as his role was somewhat limited. However, he certainly demonstrates his acting ability which is second to none. As for a horror movie, I would give this extremely low rating as the vampire scenes are really quite dull overall and as for humor in the movie suggested by some of the other reviewers, I just don't see it.

I really enjoyed this movie as it has a great cast and music too. The action is terrific and the storyline keeps you engaged right to the very end. There are a few excellent surprises with a well written script.

The actors who play the three brothers really have excellent chemistry. I bet they had fun making this movie.

It won several awards for direction and acting and more, which is not a surprise at all. No spoilers but I sure hope there is a sequel as the ending makes me wonder what i'll happen next It has an interesting cinematic approach that reminded me of Reservoir Dogs and Breaking Bad.

I really enjoyed it! Great cast, lots of fun moments and the story just works. It brings me back to the days of Van Halen, Quiet Riot and KISS and so many other bands that were part of my life for which this movie certainly hits at home. If you like the movie Detroit Rock City you'll like this one!

It also brings back memories of Spinal tap, and other films about putting the band back together! If the Blues Brothers can put together a band from members over decades then maybe this movie can be a reality too! It's just a fun, simple story about music and rock and will the guy get the girl at the end as an overall feel good movie!

Sorry but this was one of the most boring films in years. The trailer has the only funny scenes, and the rest looks like they were stretching a 15 minute movie into 1:45. Some of the scenes looked like they didn't even have a script and just said anything to eat up the time. Not even worth watching on TV.
