The music and beats playing during the witness's story is way too loud and distracting. I would have to turn it down because of how loud it was, the. Had to keep rewinding to be able to hear what was said, especially when she was emotional (rightfully so). Honestly, during her story there should have been silence. This story does not need assistance from dramatic music. This is a trend in documentaries and podcasts and is maddening. I am on the second episode and it is getting worse and I am trying to hold on until the end so that I can know the full story. I just hope this trend ends soon. If they want to enhance the drama, make it quieter.
I enjoyed the bulk of the documentary. I had never heard of this event, and this was very informative. Great insight into the impact this had on everyone.
However, in the critical points of the story, the background music/sounds were so overwhelming I had to fast forward or turn down so low I couldn't really hear the speaker. Especially the high pitched sounds that are used over and over. Very distracting. Fine line of using sounds to increase the drama and making it so unbearable it has the opposite effect. For a large part of this documentary, the background sounds are simply unbearable. Just let the story stand on its own.

I felt truly bad for this woman. Her history and trauma are so humongous, she needs more help than what this show could offer. It goes beyond even therapy. I'm shocked she was approved for the show given her manic approach to everything, which seems to be a symptom of deeper mental issues than just hoarding disorder. The show pretty much seemed to cause more trauma with the methods of addressing her issues and trying to do iy in 3 days. I eventually had to fast forward through most of it because it was so frustrating to watch- more than the normal amount that comes with watching this show. Her "friends" awful.
