Doctor Who: Heaven Sent (2015)
Not be watched twice...
Very long and boring, some people here praised as if this was some excellence among all episodes, but it is at the most tiring to watch the first time, and there is no sense to watch again once you have watched and know he is repeating the same thing over and over again. And this obligation to write long texts so we can meet some stupi:d rule is amazingly idioti:c. Not enough to censor whatever we write, blocking certain words, now we need to fill space like we are back at school writing essays about our holidays...
I love to watch my preferred series many times and this is one of the few epidodes I have never watched a second time.
Madame Web (2024)
My God... I did try, I swear
Ok, I had imagined it would be bad but I've loved John Carter and critics trashed it. I started noticing it would be awful when the villain had to be dubbed, sounded like dubbed Chinese or Mexican movies... Then the three whatever-spiders on his dream showed up and all were women - one with weird hair, of course.
I wonder for how long these movie companies will be able to sustain their gains making this kind of trash movies, directed to a very small part of the world's population.
It is always about "inclusion" so let's make the villain a white male and the heroes something else but white males. Well, good luck with that.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)
A bit more CGI and it would be a cartoon
I really don't know what was worse, bad timing in musics, the forced jokes made by Momoa, or the exaggerated use of CGI. I forced myself watching because it was one of the few on the genera on my flight from Milan to NY... I watch some of these movies several times, even the ones not so good - hey, I've watched Green Lantern a few times! But this movie, one time is too much. I gave five stars, maybe I should've given four or even three.
Gosh, every time I want to give my impressions here I feel like being transported back to school where I had to write long texts and stuff them with useless sentences to fill the space...
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Face the Strange (2021)
Too many new faces at once
I should get to be used by now with the continuous changes on the series. When Kate left, the series seemed to me that it would be boring, then Ziva came to properly fill Kate's shoes. Then Ziva left... but then Bishop came and it was ok. When Dinozzo left it felt a bitter taste - That's 70 Show Fez also is playing well on the series. But when Abby left and what's her name with weird hair came it was too much already. Then Bishop left and whoever came to fill her spot.... Then Gibbs left! Seriously? Are they trying to get rid of fans? I know Ducky was already too old to continue (and it seems dead actors do not play well) and Palmer was ok. But too many main characters have left in a short time, makes me feel like stop watching (it is 2024, but I have never watched the whole series to this episode until today).
Predator 2 (1990)
It was much better when I've watched for the first time
Well, not all movies are like wine... I really liked the first movie, then waited until the second was made. Our standards were much lower back then, we did not expect much acting or even special effects - but all considered, it is still a good B movie to rewatch from time to time. I've been watching all the old Predator and Alien movies and this one was "meh" compared to other Alien movies from the same era - but not as bad as the awful Predator vs. Alien 2. That should be erased from the archives to respect both original directors. I'm writing this while watching it after almost three decades since I've watched for the first time. But, whatta heck, much better than much trash made nowadays...
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Fallout (2018)
Abby, you are missed...
I have missed several episodes when it was on cable, so I was glad to be able to watch them all here in Italy on MickeyMouse's father's channel. It has been a while since PC has been on command on Hollywood, so it was expected to have a non-white character to be replaced once the other one was killed on a previous episode.
So the team went looking for a stereotypical non-white character, with typical affronting looks to replace a loved non-politically-correct-skin-color character. She was pathetically awful as expected, but kept on pkace to see if the audience would absorb her. Apparently they did not...
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)
I liked it, but... could we see a bit more light?
The movie is nice, a bit confusing but nice. The only problem is the fact you can't see most of it because it is TOO DAMN DARK!
Do they do that to save on special effects ? And most important, why do I have to write such long texts to use SIX
HUNDRED characters?
Can't I say what I want in shorter texts?
I hope they make new Ant-Man movies, I
will certainly watch them as like this series and I must keep writing to use all the characters requested otherwise they will not publish my text. I wonder who decides this, is it something I wrote before which has offended somenoe? Are all our texts being revised by one of their employees?
Warehouse 13: Endless (2014)
Meh
I had never watched the whole series - just lose episodes on cable TV. I bought the dvd collection and started watching a couple months ago - the first episodes were nice, as well most of the series.
But this last episode was "meh". Even the actors seems to be overacting like newbies.
I think the closure should've been something more Warehouse-ish, not a clip from the past images mingled with a bit of new stories.
I wonder if they'll make someday a sequential story - after all, these actors are not so old to prevent them to continue the series - maybe with new writers to freshen up the rhythm.
The Librarians (2014)
Mostly good, worth to watch.
I've purchased three series to watch, Eureka, The Librarians and Warehouse 13. I've watched most of these on cable, but not all episodes - and since I like to own DVDs and watch whenever I want without relying on the mood of streaming companies, I preferred to buy them.
The Librarians are good - if you don't expect much. Eureka was better, but Librarians are likeable too - the acting was meh from Lindy (annoying most of the time), and surprisingly good from the young John Harlan Kim. The major character played by Noah Wyle was not very convincing - it was like a "generic Doctor Who", who would never get to stay with the hottie X-Men Mystique... come on... the actor is very dull and far from attractive. Jenkins played by John Larroquette was excellent - he is a very well trained actor. Christian Kane is so, so (much better looking then than the recent "auntie" long hair showed on online pictures...). And Rebecca Romijn is... well, hot and beautiful as ever. If Jerry O'Connell ever gets tired of her, I'm available.
The effects were - most of the time - reasonable.
Resuming, good to watch as long you are not too demanding.
Eureka: Do You See What I See (2011)
Maybe someone liked, I didn't
Maybe if this was on the end of the past seasons it would be ok, but not after the last episode.
And I still can't understand why I have to type six hundred characters.... is it something everyone has to do, or is it because I've written some politically incorrect views?
Ok then, this episode looks like made for children and I do not think all episodes were made for small children.
Am I there yet? No...still almost 200 characters behind.
Do people use double space, dots or commas to fill the space required???
I just bought the whole series on dvd, and this will be an episode I'll skip next time!
1899 (2022)
Sloooowwww...
I fell for it again. So many high ratings that I had to check.
NOTHING happens until they find the boat, but then, NOTHING happens.
I guess it will take a few episodes to get better, but I can assure you I won't give another try until it ends - but first I'll read the bad reviews to make sure I don't fall for it again...
Everything was well made, sceneries, wardrobe (I guess, I know nothing, but they do look "old dirt") but hey, I'm not a Hollywood critic to rate movies or series.
Maybe if they make a condensed version after they finish the series I would watch it but now it certainly didn't attract me enough to keep watching the other episodes.
Stargate SG-1: 200 (2006)
Awful, couldn't watch it
That kind of episode written while they couldn't make up their minds of how to continue the plot with the Ori... what a waste of time. If this was episode 20 instead of 200 maybe it could be more passable. The most confusing episode among all.
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter Three - Once, Upon Time (2021)
Confusing and boring
I'm frustrated by watching this annoying episode and I'm afraid this whole season will be a really boring soap opera... I miss one story per episode. Is this series becoming as bad as the new Star Trek?
Stargate SG-1: Citizen Joe (2005)
I would give 3 stars to such lazy episode...
But being narrated by Homer Simpson it is priceless! Dan Castellaneta makes the episode worth watching. That guy was making more money than most of the actors together and he filled quite well the paper. D'oh!!
Stargate SG-1: Avatar (2004)
That was boring
I don't know if I was bored, but this episode didn't attract me at all. There's no "story", just going back and forth. Usually I watch most of the show and check emails or something if it is not good enough. On this case I barely watched anything.
Doctor Who: Time Heist (2014)
Doctor's Twelfth
Very like Ocean's Eleven, even the filming and music! But a nice episode though.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Awful, I don't know why they have spent do much money on this crap
I guess this was a punishment for Pratt for not being a Democrat...
Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild (2021)
Looks like 1990s videogame
How come in 2021 images still look like 1990s videogames? Everything else evolved but not computer graphics?
Mortal Engines (2018)
Nice effects and the story is good too
I almost gave up watching after reading the low rates given by intellectual puritans who read the book and point errors. Since I did not read the book, the movie was surprisingly good for me. Same thing happened with John Carter which was trashed by critics and I loved by many.
Highlander (1986)
A classic movie - awful acting though
Story is great but except for Sean Connery most acting is awful, music timing is bad - even though Queen's music is used.
It is the kind of movie that deserves a decent remake with good actors and director.
Upgrade (2018)
Nice, but ends idiotic
Nice plot, great effects but ends badly. If the end was different I would give a 7 or 8...
Thunder Force (2021)
So awful I couldn't watch
I rarely give up watching movies but I turned it off at the middle.
Deep Impact (1998)
I didn't remember watching it
Then I remembered why: it sucks. If you expect to see an action movie forget about it, it is more like a soap opera. The world is ending and we have to watch a lot of personal drama. If I wanted to see that I would watch Days of Our Lives.
Headspace: Guide to Meditation (2021)
Not bad unless...
Seriously, I've tried hard watching it but had to stop when I started seeing squirrels on my window (and I live on the 17th floor).
I guess it was not made for people with ADD.
Star Trek: The Apple (1967)
Well, I like this episode
And I can even imagine what would happen after a few years when the male inhabitants communicated with the Federation:
- Federation, can you please explain what a "headache" is on the women?
