October and overall Halloween time is when I like to venture into new film territory that might be strange or unsettling. Berlin Bride fits the bill for a number of reasons. I had a really peculiar experience involving mannequins when I was a teenager so... I was pulled. The film is much like what others have said in its artful + twilight zone + other-era feel. The sound design and music pulled me in to this surreal dream. There's also room for laughs in the film. If you're looking for something outside of the "norm" and have in interest in art films try Berlin Bride! October is the perfect month for this film!
Purdah transported me to a different world, and this is one of the main reasons I love film. Taking us behind the scenes into the world of competitive cricket playing for young women in India, this film is fascinating culturally, and inspiring. I will watch this film again!
