This was amazing. That could be my whole review but that won't work here. The acting, the intricately woven plot and the ensemble cast were just top notch. The story of the murder of a head usher at the White House being murdered during a state dinner would have been interesting enough to me, but add in Detective Cupp and her eccentric personality and bird obsession and this was a pure winner. I just knew I had it all figured out, but not even close and I'm usually good at this kind of thing. There's 8 episodes which might seem like a lot but I was so fascinated that I watched all 8 in two sittings. I'm really hoping for season 2 with all new characters except for her and some of the other law enforcement characters. Netflix, I hope you are listening!

The cast of this science fiction adventure film was truly impressive, featuring Millie Bobbie Brown, Chris Pratt, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson and more. I had no expectations going into this and had no idea there even was a book. I ended up pretty entertained although I did roll my eyes a bit. I enjoyed the special effects, the actors, but I mostly enjoyed the robots found at the deserted mall. They were what was fun about this movie for me. Except for a little bit of language, it was the perfect family film for the over eight year old set-possibly younger depending on maturity level. There's lots of mechanical violence to be found here, but a bit of tragedy too. And lastly, it was an enjoyable way to spend a random Tuesday night.

First things first, the acting was incredible especially with the 13 yr old and the father. There were many others that were good as well, the therapist and the detective in particular. The idea of a young boy murdering a girl his age? Unthinkable. I guess it does happen, but not spoiling anything here. It was fascinating to me.

I did have problems with the camera focusing on someone walking all the way down a street to get their car for example. Not important and I found myself telling my tv this on more than just that occasion. The series could have been a bit shorter in my opinion. This is the reason I lowered my rating initially from 9 to 8.

As I said before, I was fascinated and watched all 4 episodes in one sitting. Highly recommended!
