I have watched 7 seasons in 2 years and I will be in major withdrawal when I finish season 9. There is no one in True Crime quite like Lt. Joe Kenda. Between his sarcastic wit and his extensive knowledge, there's no other show quite like this one.
I always get a kick out of what he was doing when he gets the call to go to a murder scene...grocery shopping, doing expense reports, having a date with his wife, etc.
He always goes step by step, as to what the next thing to consider is. You get to know close co-workers he solves cases with, over the years, as well. I like the female journalist on the crime beat he works with a lot. Sometimes you get 2 shorter stories in one episode. Who knew there were such a variety of crimes in Colorado Springs?
I will truly miss this series when I'm done.

Other than sour grapes conservatives, if you love political humor and dry wit this show is absolutely GOLDEN! Some people don't like the little cartoon "diddies" but I think they are hilarious. I'm still singing the Section 230 song! If you like legal topics, politics, & humor you will love this show. I'm actually not a fan of either corporate party but this is still hilarious. Last year I would have rated it an 8.5 but this year they really took it to the next level. Kudos to the new show runner.
