Kind of steampunk meets peaky blinders meets game of thrones in a weird, opulent romp around some fantastical Nottingham that looks more like somewhere out of the imagination of Tolkein. Clever parallel of Crusades to war in Middle East. But the Sheriff as a Trump spouting fear of "the other" morphing into King Charles through use of lighting (focus on the ears and hairline of the actor...) was pretty poor. Leave Charles out of it! Confused by Marion - she seemed more of a middle eastern maid before becoming an Irish rioter full of discontent. So pretty confusing all together. But it passed 2 hours on a long flight. Maybe the wine helped too.
Entertaining film and would be great for kids - but why so much swearing? There doesn't need to be and it doesn't add anything.
The tongue in cheek ol' fashion buddy movie is fun and Nick Cage pokes fun at himself well - to a point.
Great location, nice to see The Mandalore in a part that explores the actor's sense of humour and playful side.
Good straight acting from the Irish lead which plays against Cage's self importance very well. The Ego worked well the first time it appeared, but the smooch was a bit... wierd.
Anyhow, all in all, very entertaining and I would have let my tweenager watch it... but not with all that swaring.

So why do four perfectly respected strong actresses think a script where their happiness goal is measured by finding love with a man? Not one of the four characters is allowed to have her independence and self fulfilment in later life - it all has to be supplied by the fella. So predictable and out dated.
