This is just ridiculous. A thinly veiled fantasy piece with TDS posterchild DeNiro playing a tough old coot one-term ex-President with dementia (one guess) and a black female badass current President (guess who).
DeNiro's acting is atrocious, is he even acting? I think his monologues and speeches are wishing thinking as if he really IS a beloved, brilliant President speaking to a riveted populace. LOL.
Wildly miscast Jesse Plemmons looking terrible and acting even worse.
The entire thing is preosterous, preachy, thinly veiled propaganda cheerleading for the left. How boring, right?
I did enjoy the on-location shoots. The guy who plays the Tucker-esque character- he's pretty good.
Supporting cast is bad, really bad. Actor playing the house manager (with the beard) seems like they pulled him from the crew and asked: Hey do you think you can do this role? And he said yes.
Waste of Connie Britton- always love her. She looks terrific.

Anna Torv (Wendy from Mindhunter) heads up a stellar cast of nobody I recognized in this phenominal series set in the late 80s about the nightly news.
I was there live for this time period and all the sets and clothing are on point.
LOVED every second. Fantastic storyline, Engaging characters.
