Amhaengeosa (2020)
Honestly underrated
Despite being an under-the-radar drama with a relatively simple premise, the plot is surprisingly rich and eventful. The story is covered very decently considering the it's length and depth. Good balance of comedy, action, and emotion. Characters are great too, I really enjoyed watching them. Even shed a tear at the end. 10/10!
Hi Bye, Mama! (2020)
Wholesome but heavy
All I will say is that Gang-hwa deserved more happy scenes in this drama. Overall really lovely, a lot heavier towards the end. Ending was nice and emotional but I would've liked some more closure with some of the characters. Really well done though!
Ke zai ni xin di de ming zi (2020)
A moving and sincere story
One of the best LGBTQ-themed films I've seen so far! The story burns slowly but powerfully melodramatically. 10/10.
Nabillera (2021)
Truly one of the very best k-dramas I've seen
I cannot believe how much I cried with this drama. I was probably in tears every single episode. Each of the characters has a struggle and a story of their own, and the series could not have told these stories any better than it did. Having said this, if the prospect of a depressing drama concerns you, worry not! I laughed a lot too -- deep down this drama is quite lighthearted and uplifting. The ending was also very satisfying, with all subnarratives coming to a natural resolution by the end. Definitely recommend!
Ssanggabpocha (2020)
Surprisingly good and underrated!
The perfect introductory k-drama for those who are unfamiliar with the genre. It holds comedy, romance, and action in a delicate balance that never seems to be lost. Its humour is easy to understand, the plot is easy to follow, and the emotions it triggers are unmistakable. The story is simple, the characters complex, and the character development is for the most part superb. Although there are a couple of minor plot holes here and there, the way the characters were able to move me made up for it entirely. This has easily become one of my favourite dramas and I've rarely seen it mentioned in top k-drama lists!!
