It is not crazy adventurous, so don't see it if that is what you are looking for.
The message, as important as ever: history tends to repeat itself.
Set between the end of WWI supposedly the war that would end all wars and a glimpse seen only by a few of the beginning of WWII, you can guess what the main message of this movie is about.
The art of making this message come through in a light, funny, endearing way without loosing its importance.
The unsuspotious callout of doing the right thing no matter what. Of chosing love and being altruistic, a capacity within all us (except the sociopaths, of course).
Beautifuly put together, brilliant actors.
I don't get the low ratings for this high quality job. But, again, it is not an action movie.

Being a fan of Baz Luhrmann's work it hurts giving a 7/10 to this movie.
It took me some weeks to do it. And the reason for it is the storyline.
I didn't like to see Elvis' life through those thick pink lenses.
He is legendary as it is. Reality is ritcher than what is portayed on this movie.
Other than that and because I don't want to leave any spoiler, it is definitly worth the watch for Austin's performance, to learn something about the roots of Elvis' music and for the direction and production.

I came to watch this documentary series almost by accident. The subject is very interesting. In my opinion, it could have taken this long (maybe...) if the profile of the killers had been analised by a profiler, which doesn't happen.
They barely scratch the surface.
But maybe the objective would be to focus on the heroes in the police department that perhaps gave birth to profiling. It isn't well done in that perspective either.
Lots of information is repeated from episode to episode (I think even in the same episode) turning this series into a seemingly cheap one.
Wich is s shame. A lost opportunity.
