The Professor and the Madman (2019)
Enjoyable
I found this a lovely way to spend an evening. Great performances by all actors involved obviously Mel Gibson and Sean Penn were outstanding in their roles. Some aspects of the cruelty that occurred from the institutionalisation in the 19th century were confronting. Those elements didn't overshadow the relationships created from this mammoth project. It truly was a fascinating real-life story.
It's a shame that there was such discontent behind the scenes that lead to litigation. It's sad that it wasn't able to be celebrated by all the contributors. Though I'm ignorant of the original vision & concepts held by Mel and the director, I still believe each individual can be proud of the work they did on this film.
Standing Up for Sunny (2019)
Awesome & funny
Loved it . Heart warming. Excellent story line & quite a few giggles.
Black Jack Justice (2006)
Noir Detective Gold
This is the ultimate gold mine for those who have a predilection for noir, private eyes with sass, femme fatales & a good investigation. Discovering this show & becoming introduced to the talents of Gregg Taylor was an absolute 'Thrill'. The voice performers bring out the best in these imaginations.
Writer Gregg Taylor has an outstanding level of comedic talent. The witty banter heavily threaded throughout the dialogue exceptional.
The rapidly fired and perfectly executed voluminous witticism's can almost be too good. At times I find myself pressing 'pause' just so I can savour the comedic cleverness. Left to resonate and bookmarked in my mind ready to recall later in the day for when I need a giggle. The collaborative team behind this show, together, all shine bright.
Do yourself the ultimate favour > subscribe & listen. You will love it.

A show of quality performances. Compelling & engaging, I am immediately captivated by the voice behind Harry. There is a Kolchak / Castiel flavour that I find nostalgic & familiar. Love this show 💕
Results (2015)
Worth the investment
Unique quirky & a good exposure of characters depth.
The OA (2016)
A wonderful, beautiful and dark narrative about human behaviour and relationships.
A story laced with trauma, situational extremes and the supernatural. It shows you where unchecked obsession can transport you. I have always loved tales of the unknown, ideas that push your boundaries of what is possible. This series has exposed me to new concepts and the lines people cross in pursuit of their goals. One character, piece by piece sells shares of his soul to the point where the darkest force becomes the majority shareholder. The characters and the awesome cast who portray these people expose a fascinating depth. The writers have invited us to discover them layer by layer. The characters and this show are beguiling. I was indeed captivated from season one episode one and became addicted. Each episode shares a hardship that labels specific character's as true survivors.
The writers force you to contemplate how you would fare under such conditions and acknowledge that our connection to others is absolutely necessary. The characters are forced to endure an oppressed existence in a state of extremes with only faith and belief in one another to drive them forward. I don't believe I have ever seen this genre and plot before. In a vast sea of visual entertainment where cops , lawyers, murderers', vampires and zombies have been ubiquitous for over 2 decades, this storyline is refreshingly unique. Do watch this !! If you are not already a Brit Marling Fan, do watch every other film she has been involved in. This woman is spectacularly talented with a depth rarely appreciated by Hollywood. She is an industry 'change' pioneer and can sit amongst a list of other amazing women such as : Reece Witherspoon, Juliane Moore, Jessica Lange, Angela Basset. Women of substance and distinction; who challenge the status quo
Hell on Wheels (2011)
A wonderful, beautiful narrative laced with tragedy, violence amidst a spectrum that displays all the colours of life
I have always loved tales of the American Frontier set in the 1860s. This series has educated me on the historical aspects I was unaware. The characters and the awesome cast who portray these people expose a fascinating depth. The writers have invited us to discover them layer by layer as well as translate historical facts into a human reality. The characters and this show are beguiling. I was indeed captivated from season one episode one and became addicted. Each episode shares a hardship that labels those who were brave enough to venture to the frontier as true survivors. I can't help but reflect upon the fact, had I lived in those times and conditions I would not have fared well. Thus grateful for modern living conditions in a country like Australia. My country, like America was built by those who embarked upon hazardous journeys' to arrive in a destination of extremes with only optimism and faith to drive them forward. My appreciation of our pioneers has expanded, for their sufferings have allowed us to thrive or at least have that opportunity. Do watch this !!
