Wolfs (2024)
"A pair who think they're different but are actually the same side of a coin......
Wolfs is a feature film that, at the very least, has everything a decent movie by convention should have:
-Although it's not very original, it has its charisma and the events in the stories are instrisic and distinct, giving us the feeling of uncertainty almost all the time, despite being a thriller that for me is a "light thriller", but the lore, the environments, the cinematography following the duo and then the obstacles along the way steal the viewer's attention.
-Narrative is the strongest point, Clooney and Pitt form characters who consider themselves disparate but are the same side of the coin, they are not treated as a "john wicky" but are very strategic and cunning to escape from various life and death situations.
-The beginning of the first act is the strongest point of this movie, it's top notch, the arrival of Clooney's character is exciting, he's shown as someone secretive, genius, a little obsequious, the plot at the beginning is excellent, very well constructed until the arrival of Brad Pitt who from then on changes the tone of the narrative a lot, tending towards the side of more action than a thriller and crime, Clooney's influence at the beginning of the feature is top notch and appreciative.
/admiravel.
-The colors, setting, clothes, cars give off a vibe of elegance and modernity, the film is very reminiscent of Collateral (2004), there's even a part where they go to a club that also takes place in Collateral.
-Brad Pitt's performance is quieter, a little egoless, underestimating Clooney (in these moments the dialogues are a little generic/deprecated), Pitt's in this film is a little reminiscent of his previous role in Se7en (1995) but it's not a "copy" but a similarity since the actor in Wolfs is already someone of significant age and experience.
-During the film, the pair question each other all the time about the situations around them, trying to predict why they are doing what they are doing, who ordered them to do it, what the enemy's strategy is, why the enemy did it. At times, the two of them become neuroses about the unknown events that occur during the plot, and I believe that the director added these dialogues to prevent the viewer from questioning or pointing out errors during the story.
-Another point to note is the dubious ending regarding the situation of the two characters, which made the movie end in a "different" way.
-Wolfs(2024)Although I don't agree with this title and it seems a bit generic, this movie can't get a grade below 6 or C+.
Asura (2016)
Inspired by Tarantino films, Asura tries to deliver comedy in violence and good dialog!
The world of Asura is well explained, this is due to the groups and hierarchies that we see during the plot that is involved by the characters
-it's essential to a mafia movie, where the protagonist lives a constant duality that ends up making his morals take a back seat, sometimes focused on his feelings, but even with his experience he proves to be someone out of control and with ambition dependent on the course of his life, Han's complexion is complex and well developed we can be sure that jung woo sung has given himself 100% to the role with every one of his expressions/semblances/rises/ you see him making an effort at all times.
-prefect is ironic but a little predictable, the director gave the character this archetype to give us the feeling of being unpredictable but being able to know what he's up to in the future could have given a little more refinement to his appearances and background, but still Hwang did a decent job that at least makes us see him as an audacious villain
-But the highlight is the final 50% of the film where, incredibly, we see the best of the entire cast. This is once again due to the fate that the direction gave to the conclusion of the film, which demanded acting, expressions, fear, anguish, cowardice, mercy, regret and total mourning in a Tarantino style, but with slightly darker tones of color, but with too much of a wine red counterpoint!
-A phrase that the narrative always leaves at the beginning of the film and goes on until the grand finale is " There will be blood"
Crazy Heart (2009)
Immersive Music moments and Direction, great acting but is overshadowed by a Predictable Script
"Crazy Heart" presents us with a cinematic experience rich in symbolism and nuance, weaving a moving narrative about redemption, love and the search for the meaning of life. Through an in-depth analysis, we will explore the elements that elevate this work to a level of excellence, highlighting the mastery of the direction, the strength of the performances and the richness of the soundtrack.
Lighting: Painting the Soul with Light
The warm color palette and the high saturation of the lighting serve as a masterful brush, tracing the emotional state of the protagonist, Bad Blake. The golden light, present in bars and decadent environments, evokes the suffocating heat of Bad's inner desert, consumed by alcoholism and melancholy. In contrast, the softer, more natural lighting in scenes with Jean's character and her son symbolizes the hope and redemption that Bad envisions. This visual dichotomy is brilliant, underlining the protagonist's search for a refuge from the darkness within.
Cinematography: Getting under the skin of the characters
The camera becomes an extension of the characters, capturing their innermost feelings and expressions. The frequent use of open shots invites us to immerse ourselves in Bad's reality, observing every wrinkle on his face, every tremor in his hands, every flash of pain in his eyes. This immersion intensifies the emotional connection with the protagonist, making his journey even more palpable.
Soundtrack: The Melody of the Soul
The original songs in "Crazy Heart" are more than just musical accompaniment; they are the soul of the movie. Each note, each chord pulses in sync with the emotions of the characters, amplifying their longings, pains and joys. Jeff Bridges' husky, empowered voice echoes Bad's tormented soul, while the soft, melancholy melody of Jean's songs represents the hope she offers. The soundtrack takes the narrative to another level, becoming a crucial element in building the atmosphere and immersing the viewer.
Acting: A Symphony of Emotions
Jeff Bridges delivers a masterful performance, embodying Bad Blake with body and soul. Every gesture, every look, every word oozes authenticity and emotion. His chemistry with Maggie Gyllenhaal is palpable, creating a deep and moving connection between their characters. Bridges' performance is the pulsating soul of the film, elevating the narrative to a level of excellence rarely seen before
Screenplay: An Imperfect but Thrilling Journey
Although the script follows a familiar narrative structure, exploring themes such as redemption and romance in a predictable way, the strength of the performances and direction elevates the work above its clichés. Bad's story grips us from start to finish, and the genuine dialog and catchphrases make the characters memorable.
Weaknesses of the script:
Predictability: The story follows a familiar narrative structure, exploring themes such as redemption and romance in a predictable way. This may make the experience a little less surprising for some viewers.
Lack of depth in the relationship: The development of the relationship between Bad and Jean could have been more detailed and rich in nuance. The superficiality at times limits the audience's emotional connection with the couple.
Incomplete Evolution: Bad's trajectory, especially in relation to alcoholism, could have been explored in more depth, showing the obstacles and challenges he faces on his journey to redemption.
But it's not all flowers...
It's important to note that the weaknesses in the script don't compromise the overall experience of the film. The exceptional performances by Bridges and Gyllenhaal, Cooper's masterful direction and the moving soundtrack elevate the work to a higher level, partly overshadowing the script's flaws.
Bala Sem Nome (2023)
Detalhas aprofundados:
Necessidade de maior profundidade em alguns momentos;
Inconsistências na narrativa, possivelmente pela dificuldade do diretor em transmitir suas ideias com clareza;
Split (2016)
"Split" is grandiose, at least in its intentions, bringing forth "philosophical" reflections such as "abuse", "kindness", "evil", and "existentialism".
"Split" is grandiose, at least in its intentions, bringing forth "philosophical" reflections such as "abuse", "kindness", "evil", and "existentialism". The purpose is the antagonist's great mantra, where everything he does is for a greater purpose, where he will basically be a receptacle and change human reality. But in practice, its narrative is simple: "a man with problems kidnaps three teenagers". It is a curious film, with moments of suspense and great intensity, which captivates the viewer's attention to know the consequences and future intentions of the character James McAvoy, who is absurd and with great expressiveness in his demeanor, meticulously portraying the expressiveness of each personality. Although, for me, it fell a bit short in the character Kevin, the intensity, fear, and sagacity of the character McAvoy are the great positive points and highlight.
Manbiki kazoku (2018)
The Japanese Parasite....
The Japanese Parasite, the dubious choices of each member of the family will bring great consequences in a powerful narrative that concluded in an unexpected ending where they saw the past literally "pass" before their eyes"ed's masterpiece
"The movie also brings up social discussions (morality vs. Law, ethics in social classes, wealth brings goodness?does it help people or not?can poverty corrupt someone?)
In the middle of the film something very shocking happens to the family and at this point the film begins to have moments of black humor with comedy and secrets are revealed little by little.

Sin nombre (2009)
The most realistic and shocking movie I've ever seen.
Rating: A/S+
The film brings very specific and deep discussions and stories of the people and their daily problems that make them abandon everything, in addition to the cinematography that gives a lot of immersion, clothes, mannerisms, dialogues all well set in the reality in which they live. The ending and the conclusion to the protagonist's core is very intriguing.
Spoiler:
His death is reflected in the boy who will live the same life he has already lived and will regret everything the protagonist himself tells him before he is shot, but as he was very young he had no way of understanding and ended up following the same fate, we have a duality at the end; failure and success / death and life as said before for the success is the girl having managed to achieve the American dream but had to live through all the horrors to have "her prize" a different "hero myth"

"Memmento aims to give us challenges and puzzles during the narrative of how to process the events of the plot after the death of his wife and even his own life and that makes us question everyone, and even the protagonist himself, despite the events taking place in a few places, prepare for a movie with many plot twists, Nolan brings a prelude to Tenet, only here script and narrative are of a very high level of excellence, dialogues and direction that come close to Tarantino, the cast is interesting and the performance of the protagonist delivers a remarkable job but certainly the script is gold and it is a film to be studied and even revolutionary in writing where it demands a lot of our interpretation and wit,it is a film with identity and authorial, the script makes us digest the "facts" or "falsehoods" little by little and besides the cinematography gives us highlights to things that really bring meaning to the narrative! "Druk is about much more than just alcohol. The discussions that the script wants to provide are philosophy, humor, acting on impulse, family, problems, etc., although it contains comedy in its essence it is an excellent drama and something to praise is the pronouncement of the characters, especially at school, they are very convincing and realistic, one example is the interaction between a teacher and a student who was worried and the teacher asks a "generic question" about romance and the boy replies that his worries aren't that, they're how to study, how to concentrate, and the highlight is mads who is loose and comfortable with incredible performances and his expressionism to portray the reactions and evolutions of the use of alcohol managed to portray this in a believable way, and with his changeable and well-constructed countenance during the phases of changes, . In short, a performance worthy of an oscar"

Enfim uma atuação digna de oscar"
Heat (1995)
Al Pacino vs De Niro in a action movie inspired Goodfellas
Rating: A
"Heat have a awesome and realistics action, shots scenes but core is duel between De Niro and Pacino that give thriller sequences that deceive and fool us into what can happen. Heat are good elaborated robbery plans but it is not an authorial film, it is inspired by many events, cinematography and even the plots of Goodfellas are "copied" for the film but it worked great but it is not a totally original story. Film deep in some moments and outhers not mostly at final not simple script is complex and have lot symbologys so is Greatest almost masterpiece"

Goodfellas (1990)
Masterpiece in all aspects but.....
"Goodfellas is main about companionship and relations of friends personal life, morality and business but have a point i think need fix is the relationship with police,FBI,etc, because it is very inefficient and even a little unrealistic. Polices not discover their crimes and deaths by the way, looks very easy for fellas make crimes, the script should have invested a little more in this part and improved the investigations. But the rest is masterpiece this movie is hall of fame of films,a mafia, screenplay is very deep telling how crimes are done and how to escape the authorities, the narration of the protagonist is adequate to the moments he needs it, the video editing is impeccable, it connects the story and the relationship amidst the events of thefts and explanatory, friendships and romance they are very well built where they increase as the film goes on and some even end the direction gives us this notion due to the grand narrative. The end game is spectacular De Niro's relationship with Ray Liotta between the two weakens as the film goes on and Liotta is affected by drugs little by little and de Niro shows himself to be the true "villain" despite this is occult ,after the death of the your partner having finished off all the fellas corrupting themselves and too Liotta, shows us that the protagonists can also be antagonists, the fear also intensifies at the end of the film until it reaches its apex where both fellas doubt each other despite having loyalty in the beginning,Goodfella is complex and need very analasys It involves friendship, mafia, plans, distrust, marital problems, crime, morals, "The end justifies the means", fear, chaos, money, family, prison and much more and all of this is covered in depth. Pesci won the Oscar for a great job, a character who likes to be feared and with black and citrus humor and kills anyone who gets in his way and Pesci also left the performance brilliantly with the expressions and expressions on his face characteristic of the character."

"Whiplash presents a highly realistic story centered around a prodigious young boy striving for stardom in the music world. Throughout his journey, he encounters numerous challenges, including arrogance, pressure, overestimation, defeats, victories, losses, loss of control, and pride. These elements are skillfully depicted, elevating the film to a masterpiece status, largely attributed to the exceptional performance of J. K. Simmons, who gives one of the finest portrayals by a supporting actor. Whiplash prompts viewers to ponder the key ingredients to achieving stardom and becoming a great musician: Is it through training, innate talent, or sheer hard work?"

Licorice Pizza (2021)
has many different plots and fun and tense moments with a good connection between all the acts
A film that has many different plots and fun and tense moments with a good connection between all the acts in the feature film, but the center of the narrative is the oscillating but essentially true and fun relationship between Alana and Gary. Rich and essential characters, and a place very well set at the time in which it is proposed, and incredible how Paul Thomas managed to express genuinely good and natural performances from the new actors, a highlight for Alana Kane. This Movie is an innovation of relationship and interaction between two characters who have a passion for each other (Romance/comedy).
Highlights:
-the character played by bradley cooper
-script with good connections between all the acts and story arc of the movie
-Alana kane
-Direction, Narrative and Scene Sequence(Paul Thomas)
-Alana and Gary's relationship
-performances.
Pride and Glory (2008)
Edward Norton save this movie.....
Pride and Glory wants to present a story with betrayals, morality and mainly family relationships, The big problem with the film is cliches and relationships and generic plots that accompany the main plot that essentially involves 3 characters that we have flaws and continuity in the script but what saves this film is Edward Norton's glorious performance and intepretation that made me give a rating of 6 to this film despite its ending being worse than the narrative that does have good moments.

Júpiter stays good until half of the film with good jokes, well edited scenes the director knows what he's really doing, but from the middle to the end the film lost a lot of the plot it turns into a generic novel and several continuity errors and holes of screenplay in addition to other core relationships that deviated greatly from the proposal of the film, despite having ok performances, its history is superficial and the direction is good but the execution and narrative did not have the same destination.

" is a film that explores themes in an eclectic manner, including morals, ethics, values, the meaning of life, theft, and death. All of these elements are constantly debated in a well-directed thriller. Despite having a great cast, all the actors appear unrecognizable and out of comfort zone. Nonetheless, the director does a majestic job of tying it all together into one grand action movie. Fox and Cruise work very well here, despite the two being complete opposites, and the events in the narrative collaborate to make it a compelling experience!"

It's definitely one of the best series I've ever watched, despite all the episodes having the same structure (similar to the Marvel movie formula) it really works the episodes have funny, serious, sad, suspenseful moments despite some characters looking like superheroes to The series shows that they are sensitive and could die if they are not careful, the episodes are mostly creative, although at times they treat technologies in a "fantastic" way, but the narrative works because it gives an aura of an action series, but so does the show deals with in-depth themes of malware, hackers, etc.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021)
Awesome, that's what star wars needs.....
-the characters are unique and cool.
-story is full of secrets, betrayals, side changes and helped expand the star wars universe, we have new faces and old characters
-the explanations of how things work are great
-the omega characters impressed me a lot.
-the gang interaction is really cool.
-the narrative is spectacular, it's a little slow like clone wars.

It's a good series, great fights, good story, mistakes in some plots.....

boring, boring and more boring....Much of the series is filler and the story of how boba fett survived in episode VI
-The direction is horrible,
-fights are poorly filmed and horrible.
-Very moments boring and fillers
-This series is responsible for destroying the destiny of a very important character in the Star Wars franchise (it is in the last episode that he appears).
-Minor characters is boring
-the scenarios are well built
-Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen's performances are reasonable
-the series has some good moments, especially 2 good episodes.

-despite this the series has no retcon in timeline of star wars.
-continuity errors.
