My friends and I host a quarter monthly screening called 'Write Shoot Cut' at the Edinburgh Filmhouse and Ava was one of the short films submitted to us that we decided to screen. I thought that Ava was a very good little short film with excellent effects and production values. Whilst the film isn't perfect and certainly has problems, it is definitely one of the best short films I have seen.

This movie means a lot to me as, when my mother and father broke up when I was 3 years old, my father showed me this movie. I was around 3/4 when he showed me it, and I hadn't seen the first one, but it blew my mind and was one of the movies that made me want to be an actor and/or a film maker. Not only does this film mean a lot to me cos I saw it as a kid, but it's actually a fantastic movie in all aspects.
